Yeah, maybe you are disillusioned... The two grow stores near my house sell the buckets that you mentioned, pre assembled, for $50. That's the cheapest either has... So that right there is a good reason to build these. Another good reason is for the satisfaction of having an idea and...
yeah, this happens at the end of flowering because nitrogen is not a necessary nutrient any longer... Don't sweat it. Mine are doing the same thing. I bet your buds look good, right? :-)
Hi man...Thanks for stopping by and for the compliment. I'm still learning, but am getting the hang of it. It's the best hobby in the world, and I've enjoyed learning how to do it with good results.
Actually, the smaller the hood, the less light is dispersed "outward" and focuses more of the...
One last thing... Here are two posts that I posted on how to set up DWC reservoirs. One uses an 18 gallon tote with 12 gallons of nutrient solution, and one uses a 6 gallon kitty litter bucket with 5 gallons of nutrient solution. They both show how I build them, and one also talks about how...
This person has the right of it....Except the part about DWC. I grow DWC and don't see issues with res temps.. also, it's a simple system. to each there own.
the most important part of his post was the NOT TELLING ANYONE part. I seriously doubt that between the 4 of you, one of you won't...
I'm sorry guys... I know I know... I dieing too.. But they're just not ready yet. I read this website talking about white rhino, and one thing it talked about was to experience the full "whiteness" of this strain, you need to let it flower 10 weeks (though it can be harvested after 9)...
you have quite a way to go with these plants. The best way to tell is by using a hand held microscope. they are 12 dollars at any radio shack. You are looking for the trichomes to turn milky white with some amber colored ones here and there as well... Check this thread out. It shows exactly...
If you plan on 3 plants in one container, I'd use an 18 gallon tote and fill it to 12 gallons. I wouldn't go smaller than that, personally. I use 18 gallon totes filled to 12 gallons for 1 plant. But I could do three per container if I so chose. I just prefer to let one plant get huge rather...
By the way... I think the browning leaves is more than likely from a potassium deficiency.. Just to narrow down the brown leave problem for you a bit more.. But you need the essentials also (NPK)...
You need to add some nutes. I believe you are suffering from a nute deficiency (probably N, P, and K). Don't over fertilize your plants though... If they're not very old I'd say use 1/4 strength and see where that gets you and go from there. Good luck.

Yeah, try painting the res and see if that helps... It might.
No such thing as too much "air" or oxygen to the roots, buddy... the more the better, actually.. :-)
Keep us posted on what happens after you paint it. I've never had this problem with GH nutes...

definitely get rid of the tin foil. It does cause hot spots and will burn the leaves. Instead use Mylar.. Or get some of those emergency heating blankets that are mylar based. They only cost 2 dollars at fred meyers.
Not too sure about your "heat lamp" for a light... You may want to...
A "Cholo" is basically a bad-ass mother fucker that you don't fuck with. I wouldn't suggest asking one of them. They'd probably score for you, beat your ass, take your weed and your cash... LOL.. heheh.
