hahah... I wish they were all that big on the same plant... but alas, that was the only huge one. the rest are normal size. This plant was the "runt" of my garden. I had problems with it all the way through the grow, and it just did not take to flowering. That happens some times... it was...
Yeah man, i've never had a root rot problem...knock on wood..and hope I never will... And to answer your question; No, I don't use any sort of additives designed for controlling root rot like hygrozyme, h2o2, etc...
I think you hit the nail on the head dude. I think it's your organic nutes...
Well, we finally harvested our first plant of the crop...
I don't feel like putting up a bunch of pics tonight, but here's a couple of teasers. A big ass bud, and my brother (the goalie, heheh) holding it...

More pics to come....of course!! :-)
Hey fuzzybudz. Very nice set up. I like it. nice and simple, and you know I dig that. Good job on the DWC reservoir build!
I was worried as I went through this post and saw the root rot. I'm glad to hear you stopped using that bullshit ES.... Not for hydro. I saw the new root growth...
My guess would be that you could grow it to about 2 and half to 3 feet and start flowering. I have one it one of these that's almost three feet tall. The root ball is already massive, but my guess is that I could easily finish it in the 5 gallon res. But, I like to work with my 12 gallon...
82 degrees at the plants eh? not too bad, but still high. what's the room temp? If you can get to 75 degrees, that's a perfect temp. But, a little higher doesn't hurt much.
I hope the root rot clears up quickly for you.
What type of water are you using? RO, distilled, or straight tap...
Right on, on the GH nutes... the sooner the better... :-) That's too low for phos. It'll be fine once you get your GH nutes, and you switch over to the Lucas Formula. I'm sure of it.. And your plants will bounce back beautifully... :-)
as far as flushing, yes straight water for a couple...
Here is a link that shows how I build my DWC reservoirs, and how I use the nutrients. It should be all you need. Hope it helps!

Hello and thanks for stopping by...
Well, I can suggest a couple techniques for you: LST for topping. I'd say just google either techniques and do a little reading. It'll probably be better explained that way.
I don't really use any techniques. My plants just seem to grow in to big...
I have a really good feeling here man... ALL females!!! :leaf: heheh. The power of positive thinking!! I'm definitely sending the good vibes your way, brutha!

Ok, my best guess is a phosphorous deficiency. Any one have any thoughts on this diagnosis??
What percentage of phos is your nutes?
That's my best guess for you.
I hope you get your GH nutes soon. Make sure to flush your plants for a day or two before switching over..

Fox farm is...
Hey MP...
man I wish I could say exactly what the problem is. I thought that maybe you were over ferting, but 320ppm should be ok with the plants this young.. that's about 1/4 strength, like we talked about.
Hmm. I'll do some reading and see what I can find. those brown spots are...
I'd suggest spending the extra few dollars and buying digital. I don't suggest this just because yours don't work. I suggest digital timers to every one for one reason: If you ever have a power outage, they keep time and will still come on and go off at the times you program. With these...
Kick ass post hobbes!!!! Very cool!!! People ask this question a lot, and I tell them cloudy, milky, amber....but it's hard to explain perfectly. Pictures are worth a thousand words sometimes!!!
i'd leave a couple of feet from the light for flowering... You don't want your colas hitting the light with say, 3 weeks to go, and no room for them anylonger....know i what i mean..
