...I agree, I have put seeds directly into FFOF with great success. I'm going to blame your issues on water, possible pH issues....how do you measure your pH?
...I just make sure that theirs 2 nodes under the place where I physically cut.....those two nodes (nodes are very small tops/clones) will turn to two clones, if left alone, they will turn into branches full of clones. If their isn't any nodes below your cut, odds are your plant will not...
...sure...sounds like you've done a good job at hardening off your ladies......as long as your not getting long days, your ladies will continue to flower if you leave them out.....Happy growin!
...as said, root damage. Moving them in a hydro set up can do some damage if not really careful....what are your roots looking like? ...green on medium? ...brown in res?
...your pics would be much better if your lights are off with flash on.
...your next run, I'd suggest looking into lollipopping, lst, or scrogging your ladies if you want to veg awhile....or even flipping them into flower sooner (less veg and more plants).
...when your working with a 400...
...just plant the seed 1/4 inch down into some light soil, or a soilless mix with no fertilizers. Moisten the soil with filtered water.... Once you see a sprout (2-4 days) put them under light....it's that easy.
..yeap. I'm more interested in the grow operations he visits, I block out all the advertisements....but as you see, vertical growing is rewarding. All the light is being utilized directly, rather than being reflected....nice big chuncks thoughout the whole tree. It seems like he would have...
...he has vertically positioned bulbs all the way around these plants, hanging 1/3 into the canopy....I'm aware of this technique, I'm been "out" alot bro....but, you said 5 pounds off of one light....I think you made that up, that's all I'm sayin'.
