In hydro, you can fill a 2×4 with 5 weeks of veg with 2 plants. Probably 3-4 weeks from clones if growing 6 plants.

You can cram a lot of plants in a flood and drain. What's the objective? A lot of strains?

Not sure why you would need to do this. For soil they get fed every time, even though you may only feed every 2 or 3 waterings, it's in the soil.

An external res can be used in several forms of hydro. The advantages that I see are I can check and modify my res at any time without opening the tent, it also helps to keep the res water from getting to warm and makes it much easier to drain and clean.

As a hydro newbie also, it sure seems like a lot more work and definitely use more nutrients ($$) but it is fun to tinker with. One thing that does make life way easier is having an external res, the bigger the better if you need any "away" time.

I want to put in the mh, but I am just trying h to keep them small and alive until I know when they can move to the bigger tent. I will probably wait until I have 1 week left on the flowering girls.
