Do any of you guys know if the NYPD from Nirvana is a decent representation of the classic "Sour Diesel?"

I am looking to acquire some Sour Diesel seeds, and begin growing some. I had some Sour D, or at least that's what the guy said it was over 2 years ago, and it was literally the best herb I had ever tried! I've seen the prices on resevoir, and they are quoting like $200/seed I think...

Howdy. I am going to start some new seedlings, and would like to reduce chances of the pest eggs that could be in the soil. Not sure if it's possible to microwave too much and kill things that are good for the soil. Or am I safe by just nuking the crap out of the soil? Has anyone done this...

I have done exactly what you describe. I grow in a dresser with a 150watt HPS. The design of that dresser was revamped a few times while I was putting it together, but it is all in my journal if you're interested.

Also though, it would be nice if there was some place where one could ask an opinion about a strain that may not have a smoke report listed. So I can see both sides of it.

My opinion is that I kind of would prefer this to be only smoke reports. I often have found myself perusing this forum while looking for the next strain I want to grow. I'd like to be able to easily find some thoughts on their strains.

Try your LST after a good watering which will make the stems a bit more pliable. Also,when you do bend, grab it with your fingers and gently work it back and fourth a bit.

Since we were talking about it in my thread..... have you harvested and tried any of your haze type strains? This purple mazar, have you had any similar haze type strains prior to this? If so, is the smoke drastically different than other stuff?

I'd say the height of my pots are about 6 inches. And measuring from the soil to the top of plant about 12 inches on average. This is about the same for the 1/2 gallon AND 2 gallon pots that I've been using.

Can't say as I've never grown this before? But I know as of right now, they are nowhere near being ready. The one JH that looks normal, it looks like it has another 3 weeks minimum based on how it has been growing. No real signs of browning yet. The other one, haha it might have even longer...

Wow!! Just wow! I love how green those babies are. I've been battling with that myself over the last few harvests, trying to keep more green color up to harvest. ----EDIT-------- Here is a pic of my topped Jock Horror. As mentioned above, this baby will make it through flowering GREEN!!!

What type of pests do you have. I had a gnat problem for a while. I tried a bunch of things. The last thing I have done was put half-inch layer of sand on the top of my soil. Since a few weeks ago doing it, my gnat problem is just close to being solved. I very seldom see a gnat anywhere...

What nute regimen are you on? And how far in flower is that WW? I ask as I get some serious N defficiency during my flowering. And your leaves look pretty good. My leaves are always yellow as hell!!! I suspect it was to making it rain on them and using only flowering nutes. My JH has...
