Yeah, i guess i will run the fan through it and then vent it out. I will have to make sure it is sealed well where the cord goes through the duct. My temps right now with no air running through is 85 F. How many degrees do you think it will drop the temp when i hook up the exhaust to it ?
This is my Homebox buy-the-homebox.com - universal indoor grow box kit and this is my hood with a 400W Super HPS and digital ballast Sunleaves :: Sunleaves ArcticSun Reflector and i have a 6" in line duct fan with a carbon filter. The problem i am having is that the cord for the light is on one...
AL have you seen the cool tube that is water cooled? I have been considering one due to space restrictions. Its not practical to have additional fans and ventilation for my Homebox. The water cooled tubes circulate water through the tube to remove the heat. It requires a small rez and a pump...
It would be better to hang it horizontally inside your grow box which will also reduce the amount of duct for better ventilation as well as stealth. I really don't think that laying the filter on it's side is going to do anything to it. It is just small pieces charcoal inside it.
Yeah you can get a harvest in the AG's. You will only be able to fit like 2 or 3 lg plants in though. Check out TEK's and some of the other AG grow journals. Here's what mine looked like a few days ago. They are a lot bigger now.
If you use CFL's for flowering your buds will be light puffy popcorn balls. You need to use HPS to get large dense buds. CFL's put out the least amount of lumins and also cost the same amount of money to operate per kw hr as a HPS does. The only reason to use them would be for the amount of heat...
You should trim the lower 1/3 of the plant. That will improve air circulation and help keep pests and mold off of the plant. It will also stimulate upward growth. The lower leaves are not getting much light anyway. It will not stress it much.
If you flushed it should be OK. Make sure your temps are not too hot and your lights are not too close to the top of the plants. Make sure your pH is good.
I grow hydro so i am not too sure, but if the nutes are locking out then you are going to have problems anyway. If you are growing in a soil less mix you should flush with flushing solution 2X the volume of your pots. So about 10 gallons should be right. I really don't think that flushing should...
I use distilled water with a pH of 5.5 and some clonex clone nute solution and soak the rock wool cubes in it over night. When i take my cutting i use the clonex gel and put them in the presoaked cubes, that way they have some available nutes to feed on when they start to root. They need a...
