Planes can dump fuel before they land for safety reasons but it's so rare. I think this dude was watching too many YouTube videos about planes. They only do that in case of emergencies where less weight in the plane would be a benefit.
Totally agree with not defoliating as a beginner, but once you've got a few rounds you get it. I don't defoliate anything off the top, just crap on the bottom I know I won't want to spend any time trimming. Not interested in tons of larf but I still get plenty. Less is more with defoliating in...
PPM meters are almost bullet proof, but PH meters are delicate little glass flowers. I still just use the color indicator drops because I don't want to mess with keeping the probe clean and constantly soaking in a ph solution.
The purple one looks like it could go a little longer, the other from the 2 pics looks like it's within the harvest window, but probably still a little early. I'm only judging on looks and you really need to get some magnification on those trichome heads to know for sure. When in doubt, wait...
You said you had a half inch of water at the bottom of each cup, you do have holes so water can drain out the bottom of the cups right? If not you're drowning them.
I only get that if I mix them at the same time. When I mix I do the epsom salt and the 5-12-26 first until dissolved then add the calcium nitrate. If I fail to do it that way I do get the powder at bottom of res. Jacks already has epsom salt in it I just like to add more, and if you read the...
Jacks 3-2-1 is what I rock. 3 grams jacks professional 5-12-26 and 2 grams of their calcium nitrate 15-0-0 and 1 gram of regular epsom salt per gallon. Jacks sells 25 lb bags of each in their site and it will last you a very very long time.
I personally use floraflex caps on my rockwool and have 1/4 irrigation tubing running to each plant so it's a top feed situation. I have never ran ebb n flow with rockwool because the big 6" cubes just don't have the capillary ability to draw water all the way to the top (from my experience...
I have been flowering almost exclusively in 6 inch rockwool cubes for the last year, no hydroton or anything else just rockwool cubes on a flood tray. How big are these plants that they have outgrown what I use til finish plus the hydroton you've got in your pots? I think you will be fine unless...
3 per light is totally doable especially when you consider that usually means there are multiple lights. Crossover light between all of them helps immensely on the spaces that don't get much light in a 1 light setup and therefore much less light is "wasted." The Jungle Boys pull 3-3.75 per light...
