Amen to that. I'm very interested to see the final result of the Kandy Kush as she stretched like a mofo compared to the PE. Barney's is what seed company I want to use next or get my buddy to use for that matter. From my research, you can't go wrong with Barney's. I want to try pineapple chunk...
That's great for one plant. SCROG takes practice. My buddy and I ended up with 4oz under a 400w MH/HPS due to uneven SCROG as well and too many tops.
Edit: Just remember for one plant that is awesome and it only gets better as you learn more and more each grow.
You don't have to post pictures as much, but I do like to see how people's plants look. How about pictures every 2-3 weeks? Personally, I like to see pictures of when the lights switch to 12/12 and then once the stretch is over. The screen filling up is exciting! Veg pics are good too.
@ Jim: I think you would have a lot more views if you had titled the thread "400w White Widow Waterfarm Grow" or any combination basically listing the light you are using, the strain, and in your case the waterfarm.
On a side note, I would absolutely fork out the $$$ for a RO system instead of...
I just bought one of these last month on ebay for $165 shipped apparently with no warranty from Arizer although last I heard the seller was trying to become an authorized reseller (which would give you the warranty). Seller had sold a lot of units with no bad feedback so that was good enough for...
Awesome grow Jim. It's nice to see people growing "Scotty" style with the use of a waterfarm + flora nova bloom. It really doesn't get any simpler than this. You just need a good water source if your tap ppm is high. Will you be posting the final weight?
@r1tony: I like to get super stoned and go for the big bang right away so I usually set the temperature between 210-215c when using the elbow pack method with the whip. As of recently, I have been blowing the bags up at 215c using only fan speed 1.
I would say that 200c is a good starting...
I don't have any pictures of my setup, but your best bet is to get a reflector that is air coolable and utilize the reflector ports on the tent (most likely a 6" fan). Then I would run a 4" fan hooked to a carbon filter for exhaust/odor. Passive intake flaps open. However, you can also run your...
I am a proud owner of the Arizer Extreme Q vaporizer. It's normally $299 and has great reviews and is 1/3 the price of a volcano. I got mine on ebay for $165 shipped with no warranty because the seller is not an authorized reseller, but they are trying to. I did however make sure to check the...
Tent growing requires an inline fan for sure. I personally would go with a 6" for that size tent and hook it up to a fan speed controller. But you might be able to get away with a 4" depending on the ambient temperatures of your grow area. I have a 3'x3'x6' Secret Jardin tent with a 400w MH/HPS...
My buddy grew my freebie power kush seed that I got a year or two ago in a 3'x3'x6' tent under a 400w MH/HPS using a waterfarm and the scrog technique. It was ready to harvest at 8 weeks which is what it's advertised as. The total yield was 4oz and the bud is really covered in crystally...
I am a huge fan of Secret Jardin tents. The bigger models have ports specifically for cooling your reflector in addition to your standard intake/exhaust ports. And I would just go with 1 1000w light, but it depends on your temperatures really.
I heard that Solar & Palau makes some quiet fans. I personally own a 4" and a 6" Valueline and they are not quiet, but I have a duct noise reducer and fan speed controller which both help reduce noise.
