Wonder, sorry I missed this question the first time around - basically, the garage is supposed to just be storage, so an AC sticking outta the window would be kinda conspicuous.
Electrical's coming along, I guess - seems like I should have plenty of power into the garage, assuming the mini-split...
No, feeding more times a day will not necessarily increase yield, but going from (basically) a soil system that he has now (two feedings a week) to an active hydro system ( multiple feedings per day) will certainly increase his yield substantially.
See post #815 in this thread for more details...
I'm trying to beat him over the head with hydroton - for how shitty his medium is right now (perlite in an E&F that's only getting watered once or twice a week), flooding hydroton in E&F 6 or 7 times a day will increase his yield substantially.
If there's anything that anyone could ever learn from me (and even that's pretty iffy), it'd be to try to cover your bases as much as possible before buying/starting anything.
Planning is beyond important - for instance, after my next grow, I'm going to have to tear my tents and everything else...
That's kinda funny - my 4x600 room covering 4 3x3 tables will be coming along in a few months as well (as soon as my next grow is done, and 12/12 will be starting ~February 10th).
Yeah, the money always seems to work out in the end ;-)
Not sure why I didn't think of this before, but the link below is of a guy who does a very similar setup to you (just with one extra light) - you should check it out, he got ~6lbs. off of 3 1Ks. Was just looking over his thread for...
I'm no flushing expert at all (and try to not pretend to be one on the Internet - don't flush at all), but I do recall reading (can't remember the source for the life of me) that plants that are overferted need almost a month to fully absolve themselves of all the excess stored up nutes they...
If you're doing hydro (which I thought you were, but those are clearly in dirt), a pH meter is the most important piece of equipment you'll own.
Get one ASAP.
EDIT: I agree with TLD, those look like classic pics of overwatered plants - let them dry out a bit before hitting them with anymore...
When I took those clones in the bubbler, I did it under a 400HPS - now I'm using fluorescents, which I prefer.
I'm using a humidity dome now for my rockwool and rapid rooter clones, but did not use one when using a bubble cloner.
You sure those are chemicals that you're tasting? Many growers who I respect don't flush at all and claim it to be a myth and only an issue for people who've over-ferted - apologies that I forget your specific grow, but did you over-fert at some point?
Because that would explain it, methinks.
I think that they come calibrated outta the box, no?
I turned mine on and it register ~350, which was close enough for me - haven't futzed with it since.
Yeah, gonna give it some more thought - flip-flopping between two 1Ks or 4 600s.
Leaning towards the 600s as of ten minutes ago, but I'll change my mind another 50 times in the next couple of months before I set it up :wall:
It was - I believe the thread is called "Preferred Cloning Methods, a Poll", or something very close to that.
What exactly were you wondering about it?
Yes it would, but it'd be hard for you to keep a straight face giving instructions to someone wearing a Scream mask ;-)
So, according to this, I don't even need to cut the power to the breaker to take it out? Can that be right?
http://homerenovations.about.com/od/electrical/ss/artremovcircuit.htm
Aww, fudge :wall:
I was thinking that the shed and garage basically shared a 40 amp breaker, but it seems as though they each have their own 20 amp breakers, and for some strange reason they're connected.
Got it.
Soooooooooo, how hard is replacing a breaker? Looks like I'd need to replace...
So Vidiot, you're pulling ~1lb in a 2x4 footprint? That's encouraging :)
And the plants are in 4" pots in hydroton, in 2x1 trays (18 per tray, and 8 trays) - should make rotating them fairly easy.
Cutting 196 clones (98 in each 20x10 humidity dome in rockwool) and taking the best 144 - and...
