just weighed out my GSC grow and I got about 2 1/2 ounces dry off the plant. For a personal grow, a 400w more than does the job. I still have 5 GSC clones growing in various stages from that plant so I'll be looking forward to those in the future.

its fine to trim a few if they are really shading your bud but overall you want fan leaves, they do get cannibalized sometimes when the plant is hungry

You're not using fertilizer or anything yet are you? Try to get a pic up so it's easier to diagnose, brown spots usually tend to be nute burn.
