You will want a male and a female....but in different rooms. Once the pollen pockets start to open just a bit (this is on the separated male).... I'd use an exacto knife and a small ziplock baggie. Scoop several sacks of pollen in your ziplock. Now, I would put the baggie down in another room...
I dose my entire plant with organic soap water....let it dry.....soak em again. Once they are dry, I wait 15 minutes and then wash em off with clean water. If you are using a spray bottle, the undersides of the leaves need alot of attention. Good luck!

IMHO....indoor and outdoor buds taste exactly the same....indoor has a smidge more potency. Outdoor, however, is once a year....and purty thick. Ahhhhh choices, choices....
You can, and I have (wasting waaay to much time mind you) splice marijuana pretty easily. But, the healing time is 2 weeks, the regen time is another week.... really.... grow 2 or 3 different species. LOL. If you want to know how and what I did... holler.
Back in the day, we wouldn't use Sodium Bi-phosphate because of the phosphate content...which also locks up iron. PH Down works soooooo much better. Peace!
