Sodium Biphosphate for Ph down?

As the thread title states is Sodium Biphosphate ok to use as a PH down in a aeroponic setup? They have a small jug of the stuff at the aquarium store for $8.

Back in the day, we wouldn't use Sodium Bi-phosphate because of the phosphate content...which also locks up iron. PH Down works soooooo much better. Peace!

I wouldnt use it unless you are really stuck. The fish actually benifit from the sodium bi-phosphate. It is also used as a bowel prep laxative if there is any one whos day you want to ruin, Gives EXPLOSIVE diarehea in about 20 mins.
I use nitric acid for PH down. 2 drops is enough for my 45 gallon rez to go from 5.4 to 5.7 at 1200ppm. My old natural down said it contained nitric acid so I went and bought a liter.

Explosive Diarrhea! LMAO wow...Im gonna have to try that out at my next cocktail party ;). I went ahead and went to the hydro store and bought some PH down. Active ingredient looks to be Nitric acid...It works great! Thanks for the info guys
