Splicing with other species

Is it possible to splice marijuana with other plants for their qualities?
It sounds kinda mad scientist-ish.
I would love to see a plant with vine like qualities to have it follow a predetermined path around wire or something like that...

random question.

My idear is graft it on to passinfruit vine, hahahaha that would be mad

You can, and I have (wasting waaay to much time mind you) splice marijuana pretty easily. But, the healing time is 2 weeks, the regen time is another week.... really.... grow 2 or 3 different species. LOL. If you want to know how and what I did... holler.

Cannibis has been sucessfully grafted onto Hops plants, and that just begs the question - is it still illigal if the supporting root structure is not MJ?
