Thanks a LOT. Believe me when I say I apreciate an honest straightforward answer to my question. I did flush yesterday and we shall see what the results are.
Again, thank you.
Depends on where in Ca. you are as to what strains do well in your area. Its a big state with a bunch of different micro climates.
North coast: you need a mold reistant fast finishing strain
Inland desert area: can grow just about anything
Seirra foothills: Faster strains work better ( early...
So the yellowing on the sawtooth areas is not high N but low K ? Its just on a few plants and maybe I'm over reacting.
So Too high of N = blueish tint and twisted leaves, and burnt tips.
and Low N = yellowing on lower leaves.
Its not that I havent done my research, its just that there is so...
I have checked the stickies and got some info, but nothing matches quite what I need to know.
First off info:
Growing in foxfarm OF under 400 watt hps lamps ( 6 of them ) in a 8 x 8 flower room
What I need to know is what are the 'signs' of over feeding? I am aware that underfeeding is...
Stretching like that is due to lights to far away. I just add more soil around the stems when that happens and put it closer to the lights. I cut the bottom out of a dixie cup and use that as a sleave to add a couple of inches to the potting soil if I have to, if the pot they are in wont let me...
I use fox farm ocean forest in my grow as well, and have noticed that it is a bit on the hot side for some strains. When I plant seedlings I mix a 50/50 mix of ocean forest with coir to cut this problem down a bit. Also I do not add any nutes to the plants for at least six weeks in the veg cycle...
I just buy the temperature control units that are used to control attic fans. About 20.00 t your local hardware store. Easy to wire in, reliable and cheap.
It was a freebie with my last seed order. I've got several on this order that look real interesting. The Blue Widow ( blueberry and white widow) I popped about a week ago looks to be a good one as well. Also recieved a Blue Hash which I also popped. Both of these look to be good for outdoors as...
Not sure what part of norcal you are in, I'm in the sierra foothills around 40 deg n. and also have been getting my next outdoor lineup going. Currently growing a few moms so as to take clones around march.
Don't know about you but I try to check out the stats on individual strains to check for...
DO NOT REPOT WITHOUT KILLING THAT FUNGAS!!!!!!!!!!!
If you do you will be just transfering the fungas to the new soil and pot!!!!!!!
Evenj if you dry the soil out, without treating to kill the fungas you will be fighting it all the way throight he grow. IT WONT WORK!!
You have to flush it...
I haven't grown it outdoors yet but am planning on doing it this upcomming season. I currently have 5 growing indoors close to harvest and am pretty impressed with it. I'm going to re-veg them after I harvest and take clones for my outdoor run. I find it to be a really fast finishing strain. I...
I have a 100% rate on my seedlings by keeping it simple. Nothing complicated about it. I grow in soil so this wont be for hydro people.
Germinate with the paper towel method: I take a peper towel that is damp ( NOT WET ) and place the seeds between the sheets. I place the sheets on a plate and...
Wow, sounds like he has it down. That sounds incredible.
When I re-veg I generally strip the top 2/3 of the plant off, as well as 2/3 of the roots and repot in a good soil. Its always worked for me. I do think I have cloning down as good as I can, its just a matter of how much room I have to...
when I reveg I trim the rootball to about 1/3 of its original size and repot in fresh soil, so I don't think roots are going to be a problem. The average flowering time in my grow is about 9 to 11 weeks ( from flipping to 12/12 ) and it would take a revegged plant about that long to rebound from...
Had an idea, don't know if its viable or just crazy.
I have some vanilla kush that is getting close to harvest, and as I didn't take any clones I am going to re-veg them and save a wonderful strain. I've revegged befor with no problems, so how to do it is not the question.
The crazy idea I had...
I had a couple of 11 footers last year and found that tending a large plant was a pain in the a**. I am not so much looking to grow 'monsters' this year as I am on growing healthy topped and fimmed bushes. If I have to get a ladder to check the colas, then Its too big.
I'm up for maybe a 'most...
My guess is that the soil was to 'hot' for young seedlings. ( hard to tell without pictures). I generally use a half coir / half soil mix for my seedlings . I use fox farm ocean forest as a general growing soil, so by cutting it with the coir I give the seedlings a better growing medium. Or you...
