You're running promix HP, a moss and vermiculite product. Seems like you're trying to run it like a hydro setup. I use promix as a seed starter since it's a relatively neutral soil mix that won't burn my babies.
I took 2 kitty litter buckets, the rectangular 5 gallon style, cut a passive vent in the bottom of 1 bucket and covered it with nylon stocking. I cut the top 4 inches or so off of the other bucket and glued a wire mesh basket inside that I made from heavy gauge stainless steel screen. The basket...
If you made part of the room into a smaller room (cabinet) then you could veg in that and run your light cycles opposite so you'd always have a light on for heat in the winter. You'd have to make it light proof though, no light leaks into the flowering room...
You're looking for low upfront costs or low electrical consumption? A bit of both? Do you have a veg area as well or this closet is your total space?
I'd run 8 Bridgelux V22 LEDs on 2 passively cooled heatsinks. Pair that with an HLG 185 -700B and your light will cover 2 plants very well. Check...
A light breeze over your plants helps the stems toughen so it will support more weight. Strong breeze makes strong trees, as the saying goes. I've seen weak stemmed seedlings falling over without a fan and later standing strong with a fan.
a small fan, even like a USB fan or a computer fan pointed right at your plant to help flutter the leaves around and strengthen the stem:). A bigger room could even use like a 14 inch oscillating fan, you probably want to size that down a bit.
They are a bit leggy, more intense light should help keep them short and bushy.
If you're concerned about power usage, look into COB LED. I've built a couple lights for around 300 bucks that draw around 200 watts from the wall and are far better than my old CFL setup. It's the initial investment...
Right, right, I should have clarified that I have 2 flowering cabinets that handle 2 plants each. Each at various stages of flower. Let's say 1, 3, 5 and 7. The week 1 and week 5 are together and the week 3 and week 7 are together. I actually veg in 2 spacebuckets which are pretty handy for veg.
Separate veg areas, I start one every 2 weeks and have the 2 plants in each cabinet at different stages of flower, off by a month. So 1 plant is a month into flower and the one beside it which is 2 months into flower gets cut and replaced by a freshly vegged plant. Understand? It's a better use...
I have 2 cabinets going with 2 plants in each, cycling so I have 2 to 3+ ounces every 2 weeks. It isn't perfect since some strains take longer to finish and that throws the cycle off.
They look fine. Possibly a bit short on N, if I mix in EWC with my soil the foliage seems to be a darker green color. Probably nothing to be concerned with.
