Agreed. And fritted glass is not dab compatible imo. Have buddy that tried one dab on his new dab rig with fritted glass diffuser and plugged it up. Never got a hit.

You use a "nail" on your glass dabs rig. It's like a bowl on a bong. Nails made of borosilicate glass are least durable. Quartz glass takes the torch better. Nails of ceramic or titanium are a step up imo.

To clean up your butane, may distill it using a closed loop extractor. This leaves the mystery oil residue behind to be cleaned out of the collection vessel. As to removing mercaptans, you mentioned odor, I'm not sure as I've never started with butane that contains these additives.

It does. They all do. Unless your using a nail and torch you'll always have the residue issue. I know of no good pen.
