Has anyone ever tried packing active charcoal into the tube then weed and then coffe filter to remove taste and smell from butane my friend told me this how he does it

To clean up your butane, may distill it using a closed loop extractor. This leaves the mystery oil residue behind to be cleaned out of the collection vessel.
As to removing mercaptans, you mentioned odor, I'm not sure as I've never started with butane that contains these additives.

Yea this would work great, but like snaps said you would have to distill the butane because you want to separate the particles of carbon from the butane afterwards.

Vacuum distilling thus far is the best removal technique we've found for bulk removal of mystery oil, but Skunk Pharm Research has a joint R&D butane filtration project with VICI Metronics using their proprietary blends of chromatography beads for polishing afterwards, with encouraging results.

What we can lay hands on.
We've used Airco, Matheson, and Industrial Source, as well as tapped cans, usually Lucienne, and are currently experimenting using donated gases, including some Puretane, and some R-290 and R-600 from Ecogreen.

I just bought some clipper 12 loop refined no smell must have no mercaptan I seen a post about the clipper 12 loop refined and the guy loved it very clean cooked off fast he was finished and smoking in three hours and he blasted it no closed loop machine

Use the 12 loop refined clipper isobutane all three times i've made bho came out shatter the last time I ran it was a second run on trimmings still came out shatter just looked like a hard caramel
