That's kind of cheating. It takes picking completely out of the equation and picking is very hard to master. Les Claypool often plays an electric upright bass but he's kinda just messing around when he does it.
Try Safer Soap. Dilute as recommended for a root drench. The KOH, or "potassium salts" will kill any and every bug that comes in contact with it. Its OMRI listed too.
I compare it to people using run of the mill hids vs running gavitas or the lecs. If you have the money, go for it. I am waiting on a Mars 2 400. Figured I'd give leds a try but I'm also not going to go out and buy the gavita of leds either.
All I know is that this little habit I've become accustomed to will be a hard one to break... waking and baking with my Monster loca moca. Now that's where its at lol
I'm only drinking one of the tall cans a day so far lol. I need to cut way back but its hard... not having one feels like I don't ever fully wake up. Its the shits
Not really after power savings or heat savings, for that matter. If I get any it will be a bonus but not a big issue. I needed to buy a new light and when you consider buying a ballast, reflector and bulb(s) you end spending the same amount of money, so I figured I'd give an led a try.
I've wondered about different nutrient absorption rates with the leds as well. You speak of dealing with stress issues...? Would you elaborate a bit more?
Had a change of heart recently in regards to leds. Going to try a newer one out to see how well it performs. I've ordered a Mars II 400 from Mars Hydro. I'm not sure what to expect with this type of light because yes, its one of those "blurple" "disco lights".
I see almost everybody bashing Mars...
What type of probe are they? Do they also read temp? If so, do they compensate for temp or not? The temp calibration could be different which would make them read different pH's. Or its just small differences in the probes/meters themselves. Although you would think Hanna would have a better QA...
I would go with ebb and flow or top feed drip. The top drip you could either dtw or recirc, depending on what medium you choose to use. Flood tables allow you to switch back and forth from one to the other. The drip system would require less use of water but ebb and flow is about as easy as it...
