Living Soil LED Grow - Deficiencies? Light Stress?

Nice and I definitely know the feeling of trying to learn the basics. I still dont top/train my plants at all, really only clip a few leaves here and there. This is like my 5th grow so I have a ton to learn and most likely forget still. Every run I feel like I figure it out just a little bit...

    Worm Man's Worm Farm

Yea, I had a few comfrey plants a while back from a nursery but had a bad go with them. Brought some wild kind of pest in at first, got those dealt with by some neem meal, but then neglected them before I actually put them in the ground somewhere. I will give them an honest go eventually as I...

Living Soil LED Grow - Deficiencies? Light Stress?

Awesome, I'll try to stay on top of light distance for the time being. Plants are like 3 weeks into 12/12 now so still a ways to go. Ideally I can keep them in this praying and happy state for a while longer. Are you still using the progrowtech lights? If so, are you a lot happier with them now...

    Worm Man's Worm Farm

Nice man. I really want to figure out how to get some kind of bsf type bin eventually. I think it would be cool to just have another source of soil additive from the yard as well. I figure all things in moderation bring some unique benefits. I saw a pre-made type thing a while back when I was...

Living Soil LED Grow - Deficiencies? Light Stress?

Not sure to be honest, but was just my initial thought. I figure a simple topdress and epsom would be pretty well rounded for a lot of possible soil issues, but I also did raise the lights a couple inches as well up to 20 inches where they are now. So really can't say exactly what did what, but...

Living Soil LED Grow - Deficiencies? Light Stress?

I was just smoking some bottom bud off my last run and its dense as a rock. I enjoyed re-reading through this thread as I find that I keep my lights a bit higher than what others running hydro are using also. The pictures I see from them are awesome and the buds look amazing. I just find that...

    Vegan living soil mix review

In my opinion you wouldn't need to cook with those amendments, but I think it is almost always beneficial just to get things more so stabilized. I think even something like a week would at least give the soil some time to buffer itself a bit. Again, no expert but just my thoughts on things...

    Vegan living soil mix review

In my opinion rice hulls are awesome and perfect if you plan on recycling your mix. If you were going no till though I would probably use some other stuff too. I ran out of hulls my last couple recycles/soil builds, but that will be the one thing I buy after this run. I like the idea of readily...

Aussie High Lights – we're official

About three weeks since the flip and still looking alright I think. Wish I would've bought some bigger pots for this run though, 3 gallons is kind of tight for the organic soil route I go but still hopeful for some quality results again. Hope everyone is staying well though.

    Vegan living soil mix review

I like the looks of that amendment mix, but I am a little skeptical of the compost and aeration portions. I personally go with closer to a 1/1/1 mix of peat/aeration/humus (ewc/compost). Not that this is the set in stone ratio, but I think adding some more humus would be beneficial to the...

    worms...

I feed my worms both food scraps and amendments, mostly stick to the food scraps and just use some neem/alfalfa sporadically. One of my bins has been going for almost 2 years now without harvesting the full bin. I haven't done this on purpose, really just laziness of not separating the majority...

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Pretty sure the different colors is just used to distinguish which wire goes to the + and which goes to the - to avoid wiring things up wrong.

    DiY - Samsung's strips

https://www.arrow.com/en/products/si-b8t521560ww/samsung-electronics -- for some 4k double row f series strips. a little more expensive than the $5 ones, but $8 for some lm561c diodes seemed like a deal to me.

    Organic growing advice

Have you looked into mixing your own soil up for your next run? I think it would give you a little more control of what you have to start with and allow for a more basic approach of things after the soil is all mixed up knowing you have your basic needs covered from a proven recipe (something...

Should I add Kelp Meal & Neem Meal to Soil Mix?

There's someone I have obtained a lot of my perspectives from.. He can show/advise you through more experience driven results than I ever could.

Should I add Kelp Meal & Neem Meal to Soil Mix?

I'm not the best person to answer this, but it just seems like a lot of things into the already amended ffof. What I truly enjoy about the organic route is that there are tons of options that all deliver similar nutrients to your soil. That said, at this point, I would just roll with what you...

Finally building a flow through worm bin! Pics and a question on getting started

nice man, can't wait to see this thing up and running. you and @MustangStudFarm are really doing some cool things with the worms right now..:) Maybe one day I can get onto your guy's levels, but for now the totes will have to suffice. Take care though sir and hope all goes well moving forward...

Should I add Kelp Meal & Neem Meal to Soil Mix?

I tend to think this mix looks pretty hot as of right now. Lots of high nitrogen sources in there, so I would probably hold off on the kelp and neem for now. Like others have said above, a simple tea (1 teaspoon of each left to sit for 24 hours in a gallon of water and stirring occasionally...

⚠︎ Brother OneHitDone Goes Organic ⚠︎ #Grean Bicycles Growing

Really enjoyed reading through this thread sir. Hope everything continues to play out well for you in the new beds. The grean bicycle products seem to be spot on. Have you taken the dive into a worm bin yet? If you haven't, I would check it out. Can be set up easily/relatively cheap and...

    Let’s see your grown

About two weeks since I flipped to 12/12, got some coconut water powder/agsil with water today. Going to top dress some kelp/frass/gypsum with fresh ewc next watering I think.
