Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

This is the exact boat I find myself in, but I think the meanwell xlg series drivers offer a wide range of affordable options to power these sale strips that keep popping up. $35 for something like the xlg-150 and keeping the strips running to where they need little to no heatsink seems to be...

lets talk worms! Bins, castings, techniques etc

Dang that sucks man, hope you can find some materials as I am excited to follow along your journey. I used to have the produce guys box me up all the stuff they would throw out when I worked at whole foods from time to time. I'm on a much smaller scale, so could only use so much at a time...

    Bat guano in compost tea?

Sounds perfect for my situation. Thanks again to both you guys for sharing this product. Only have some veggies and random stuff growing now, but it'll be fun to keep playing around with the soils a bit while I wait until my next opportunity to grow some nice flowers.

Need to make a Veg LED light with left over drivers

I feel like I am out of my league trying to help you much further man and I would hate to give some bad advice when I feel like I have only just started down this road myself, but this is my take on it. I think it'll come down to how comfortable you are wiring things up though. It took me a...

    Bat guano in compost tea?

That thing is awesome man, thanks for sharing it. Might just have to get one while I'm still stuck in this apartment. Are you brewing compost teas or more so nutrient teas with it?

Need to make a Veg LED light with left over drivers

That would work on the LZBK drivers, but not the black ones. That is a 48 volt board and those black drivers have a minimum voltage of 55. That's why I suggested the qb132s as an option earlier, at roughly 36 volts each, two of those wired in series would give you around 72 volts total and be...

Need to make a Veg LED light with left over drivers

I finally got around to trying out the drivers recently. Mine are a bit different than yours, but still the same concepts pretty much. The drivers I'm messing around with have a bit lower voltage range, so my options for them is a different but same concepts. Some pictures and things I tried in...

Best Budget LED for 2.5'x2.5' Tent

I'm no expert on anything LED, but it...

Just Got A Worm Bin Going

Will do sir. Gonna mix up a fresh batch of soil this weekend and then mix even more aeration in for the alien's soil. Used a similar set up on some nursery bought aloes a while back and they seemed to do very well in that mix.

Just Got A Worm Bin Going

I picked up some alfalfa seeds along with some aloe seeds, have never seen aloe seeds locally so figured why not try em. Set up a little spot in my closet to try these out with a spare qb I had sitting around. I'll let you know how it goes once I get them. Stuck in this shitty one bedroom...

    cheap blurple drivers

Just wired up 2x 4k f series strips in parallel to a single channel, pulled 31 watts from the wall. Wired the 5k QB v1 up to other channel and left them on for an hour or so. After the hour it was pulling 62 watts total. Driver was just a tiny bit warm to the touch, barely even noticeable. Cheap...

Just Got A Worm Bin Going

Mind sharing your thoughts on spring tails and pill or sow bugs (rollie pollie where I come from,I forgotten technical name on them at the moment) in the bins? Since i switched over to my own compost from the backyard for bedding, all yard litter, I have healthy populations of both now. I'm not...

    Base Soil

I think this one looks better for sure, can't really go wrong following coots style. Like @rkmcdon you definitely have room to bump things up to start if you want, but starting with these ratios I think you will see happy plants as well. I've grown a lot of random plants in pretty much the exact...

    Chloramine and Compost Teas

So definitely not a source of great knowledge/experience, but I think you nailed it about the organic material breaking down the chloramine. Like @Boatguy said too, with such a small amount of chloramine it can only do so much. I haven't brewed a tea in a while, but when I did, I used straight...

Just Got A Worm Bin Going

Looks great man, I love seeing other people getting some bins going. Makes me feel a little less crazy. The few people I've told about them give me the stink eye like I fully lost my shit. Not too long ago I set up two more new bins, so have three tote bins right now. My oldest bin has been...

    $2 f-series strips

https://www.arrow.com/en/products/si-b8t521560ww/samsung-electronics I bought some a while back when they were at like $7.50 or something per strip, but now they are priced at $2 a strip (at least for the time being). I had to pay some tariff fees, so it's a little more than just strip...

    BEST LED grow lights(recommendations )!

I'd check out @Grow Lights Australia products. Not sure about euros to $, but they got some cool side lighting stuff too if you went a different route for main lighting. I have a couple of the highlight uv boards that I like a lot.

Does guano really "mango", or sweeten buds?

I would follow along for sure. I had to tear my last grow down for an inspection in mid flower and decided not to start a new one up in the apartment. I'm just going to focus on getting my ducks in a line to purchase a house when the lease is up in april. So I can't really offer any help at the...

Does guano really "mango", or sweeten buds?

I agree with you. I would bet the teas give that extra jolt and when done more frequently, might just push the microherd's that much more for the plant. Maybe the specific inputs and their nutrient profiles just causes the plant to be able to express a little bit more from its genetic profile...
