I got 2 grow boxes in my basement. 1 Has 5 26w CFLs and one has the philzon 600w dimmable. The cfl box grows good (but I'll say a bit thin on the buds) plants. But the philzon always makes the bottom leaves slowly turn brown. Is the light missing something? IR, UV? I was gonna replace the CFL's...

I grow in 18"sqx4 ft tall box. I lifted them up off the ground so my bucket could hang out the bottom of tank. I use 4 26w 6500k lights and 1 26w 2700k bulb in the middle. I know CFL yields are not as big as LED, or MH/HPS. But I still grow an decent Automatic skittles plant.

NP man. My 4x2x6 tent did. 2 phizon lights get hot. Really you sweat working in the box. And the 2 5" fans I had was not enough to cool it. I was suggested an A/C would help. But I don't want to do that. My basement is cool and my old way worked so I built another box. Now I have two boxes. And...

Yes one at the bottom blowing in. And one at the top blowing out I grow autos in thiese boxes. So i'm not afraid of light leakage. But when I grow my photo plant I'll attach tubes to the fans.

My basement is cool also. But 2 philzon 600W dimmable lights are hot. And really heated up my tent. Thats why my bucket hangs down out the bottom of the box. I find that keeps my water cool. I've done it like this for years. Never needed anything but nutes, and p.h. down. My water is around 8.2...

right on I never needed it before. I was told the problem with my plants in the tent was no cal. But in my gro boxes They're thriving without it. My tent and water was too hot, and I did not want to buy an A/C. So I'm back to the old way.

I'm using GH flora series feed chart for a photp plant I'm growing. I'm wondering if there's a better schedule to follow using GH Flora series. I had a tent and bought calimagic because I thought I was having calcium problems. But it was a hot water tank and root rot. So I'm back to the old way...

Does hard water not have enough calcium and magnesium?

I thought plants stretched when they were changed to the flowering cycle? And a red or 2700k-ish lights were used.

My first grow in my first tent started doing that. And then the whole fan leafs wittered and died. It just kept getting worse allover the plant. I found out the roots were rotting because the tank was hot. and bad micro organisms were in my water. Make sure your water is cool and well agitated.

yes my 600w dimables are actually 95w.

check philzon. mine other then the heat work ok and are a bit cheaper then mars.

Try to get a mix that makes the light look as white as possible. those red blue ones are not very good. I have 2 here if you want to buy them.

But mine are hot enough to heat a tent without proper ventilation or heat displacement near the roots of the plant.
