This concept is cool as hell but what happens if you get a leak? Also in areas that freeze are you going to have to dig below the front line? If so thats a lot of digging. I just wonder how well it would peform over summer and winter months
Me personaly I think the product is a crock of shit and isnt needed. Just marketing BS like so much in the hobby growing industry. In the near future I plan on using nothing but jacks 321. And just so you know I am currently running botanicare kind line and I have been using that hydro guard and...
You dont need it but it speeds rooting by slowing transpiration through the leaves. Remove the dome at first signs of roots. Good luck. Also a little trick, if your limited to say 48 sites you can always double up on each site with great success. Just be sure to separate them when they have...
I hate to say i man but I really hope for your sake that you have new clones on deck. That grow is gonna be dead on arrival. Once you get root rot its over. The kicker is your system may be so badly contamed that it could pose a risk to your future grows if not super duperly sanitized. I know...
For me the only reason I would be interested in those is for heat control, and par output. I have used XML 350 DS before and was amazed at the response in veg. Seems like COBs are all around performers way better than single diode leds.
you can buy a res chiller or you could store your tank in a cooler room that is dark and cool. Your pump should be able to handle that if its large enough.
QUOTE="Bait head, post: 12621478, member: 927205"]Res temp is 24 and I am unsure of the ambient air temp in the root zone I will have to check it and yes it's in Nft and there is no on off cycle and the water is on 24/7 and it is running at nearly the lowest setting..... Been and check again...
Res temps. What is the water temp and the ambient air temp in root zone? I bet its all heat related or your cycling too much water.
you said this is a nft grow right? What is your on off cycle set at?
are you using water straight from the tap? If so I bet half the PH swing issue is directly related to the water temp. If your water is coming out say in the high 60s by the time it warms to your room temp your PH value will change.
Maybe try dispensing the water you plan to use a day or two...
Its hard to see without white balance but otherwise your leaves look good. Just look at the color of green that your leaves are, if they are really dark green then they are rich with N. I would say just keep things steady too much changes will only complicate things
I have read that the best nutrient uptake ph for hydro is 5.8, I could be wrong but I have had great results with 5.8. Soil on the other hand seems to like 7.
