Well said! If you want a certain type of high then choose a strain which gives you that effect and grow it until as close to 100% cloudy trics as possible.
Then he might as well harvest it a week early too because he is taking away the plants ability to take in light and convert it into making buds grow. Before I chop the plant on harvest day I will pull all the fan leaves off by hand, I find it makes it easier to trim.
The choice is yours, cutting the lower growth now "may" help in diverting more growth to your upper buds. I have never tried trimming the lower growth off half way through flowering before. I know it suck buying weed when you have buds just sitting there for the taking lol.
Clipping buds "can" stress your plant which will cause it to momentarily stop growing/producing buds. That being said tons of people do it and don't really notice any adverse effects. I usually trim the lower growth that I know will not see much to any light prior to inducing flowering and use...
If buds are loose and "whispy" at harvest they will be the same but smaller after dried... Airy buds are usually caused by either bad genetics or poor lighting.
I use one in my grow and drying room to monitor temps and humidity from the comfort of my living room. Too big to fit in a curing jar.
This is what you want for curing jars: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Caliber-III-Digital-Hygrometer-Humidor-/200611748177?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb5645951
Just give her water for now, a little bit more than you usually do to get rid of the excess salts/nutes causing the nute burn. Then when you are ready to feed again give iess then when you gave it nute burn. It is important you get enough run off coming throught the bottom of your pots.
Hard to tell, you don't want to be jacking your plants up too much just prior to harvest especially if you are already over feeding your girl. You want to make sure any build ups are taken care of prior to harvest or no matter how well you dry and cure your bud it will taste like ass.
You may have better luck if you post in the hydro section: https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/
I keep clones on 24 hours of light until they root, then you can do whatever you want 18/6, 24/0 or even go straight to 12/12.
The tips of your leaves are the giveaway, back off on the nutes a bit and give her another drink of water to try and get rid of the build up. How much are you watering/feeding your plant at a time? You want to make sure you have a good amount of water/nutes pass through the pot (like 25%)...
If you have nute burn you need to give your girl a good flush of plain water. Adding more nutes will only burn your plant and roots more and will not aid in maximizing bud development. You need to correct the issue at hand then if there is still time before you need to chop you can give them...
