    Cost of Clones?

I'm just curious - for those of you who live in legal states, how much do you usually pay for clones?

Need help growing pounds of weed outdoors

Yep - I've done exactly the same thing a million times. Except I usually veg for about 18 months in 55-gallon drums. Just load 'em onto the flatbed with a forklift and lower them into the holes with a crane. Find a nearby stream and build a dam, then run hoses from the pond to each plant...

How Do You Prep Your Preseason Veggers To Adjust The Outdoors

How many weeks have you got to cut the light schedule back? When do you want to put them out? And you say you're going to run about 50 plants, but you have "a few" in veg now - do you mean those few are going to be part of the 50, or are you cutting clones off of those few, or do you mean you...

    Lets kick the hornet nest....

Probably doable without too much trouble. Err.... you're talking about the weight of the entire plant, right? As soon as you chop it? Because yeah, 5 or 6 pounds would be quite reasonable.

What time of the day do you run your lights?

1 PM to 1 AM - there's always going to be some part of the lights-on that I'll be home to fuss with the plants.

Is is really necessary to change out the rez during the grow?

Interesting. May I ask, what growing medium do you use? Because I just switched to coco myself for indoor grows, and my thinking was that the coco in the pots would provide a sufficiently stable environment for the beneficial bacteria. I wonder if I should be revisiting my way of thinking.

The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread

My temps have been good (high 70s to around 80 to 82 with lights on), and most other conditions seem to be dialed in pretty well. It's a pheno hunt, and I have 5 distinct phenos, so it's been a challenge to find the "sweet spot" that favors the most plants. Next step is that I have multiple...

The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread

It's BC Bud Depot's Albino Rhino. I think the yield will generally be good (although I have some awfully small plants mixed in with the monsters, but that's what a pheno hunt is all about). Some of them are very good, healthy, robust plants, very tolerant of adverse conditions (on a pheno hunt...

    Coco Growers Unite!

I got 50 seeds from BC Bud Depot for this grow; it was intended to be a pheno hunt, and of the 50 seeds, I got 52 seedlings (2 of them sprouted twins). Lost a few seedlings early on because they were just weak plants, and wound up with 26 females. The proof is in the pudding, so in a few weeks...

Plant collapsed under it's own weight.

No, no, I was just kidding. Silica is the element in grass that wears down the teeth of grazing animals like horses and cattle, so I was just making a joke. But no, it doesn't have any effect at all on the final product.

Here's an update on some of those pics I posted a couple of weeks ago. We're coming up on the end of Week 7, and I'm still a good week and a half to 2 weeks out. Getting good bud development, but not the trichomes I was hoping for. That vertical one is one of the indica phenos, and the...

    Coco Growers Unite!

Jesus, am I jealous. My white rhinos are in Week 7, and I don't have a fraction of the frost you have. Decent bud development, but no trichomes at all compared to yours. Did you start from seeds or clones? Because I'd sure like to have that strain instead of the one I do have.

Plant collapsed under it's own weight.

Yep, promotes stronger stems. The downside is that if you graze on your plants, it will wear your teeth down. That's a real pain in the ass.

Plant collapsed under it's own weight.

Totally agree about the fan and the silica, but there are still times a stake comes in handy. For example, right now I'm running a pretty poorly managed SOG, 26 Albino Rhino, grown from seed in coco on a pheno hunt. Since I was starting with 50 seeds, I knew I was going to have several different...

Is is really necessary to change out the rez during the grow?

Yeah, I tend to be overly anal about some things - mostly to make up for at least some of the stuff that I completely overlook. Kind of balances out in the end. But I figure, what the hell. I'm spending a couple of hours doing other stuff like general grow room cleaning, scoping for nanners or...

Plant collapsed under it's own weight.

I always keep at least a half dozen 1/2 inch 4-foot long poplar dowels in the grow room, along with a small bag of twist ties to stake them up if they take on an alarming bend. By the time you realize a plant needs to be staked, they usually need to be staked right away. The quicker they're set...

Is is really necessary to change out the rez during the grow?

One thing I do to clean my pumps and feed hoses is fill the res with a strong bleach solution, put both the pump and the outlet of the feeding hose into the res, and plug it in. Just let it run for a half hour recirculating bleach solution through itself. Then multiple pump flushes with a...

Is is really necessary to change out the rez during the grow?

I always drain and refill the reservoir right after the last feeding of the night, so the water has all night to come up closer to room temperature. Also helps evaporate some of the chlorine out of the water; not that I worry much about chlorine, but it can't hurt.
