I'm keeping my light 6" away from the plant, and have the light turned down a tad, is this any different than holding it 12in away and turning it up a tad? Temps are fine. Figured this would save energy maybe?

Will 3000k COB lights work well with Sundews? I threw them in the closet alongside my plant.

So last night, added 7g maxibloom into a gallon of water, and also added a little baking soda to increase PH. Today, she looked much happier. When you say lime, do you mean dolomite lime or actual lime? What about adding silica? I hear it's good for protection, and raises PH a tad? Any new...

I've used no nutes until just now. Growing in Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil. I think it's N deficiency from PH being low. Any ideas on supplements to bring it up? Don't like using PH up if I don't have too.

Doesn't look like COB technology has changed much since I bought the cxm22s a few months ago. Lights are super bright. Anyone have any suggestions for an additive that will bring up PH? All my nutes bring my PH down to 5.8, and I want to counteract it with something besides PH Up.

Transplanted the seedling to a small cup, put a wet paper towel under it, and used an upside down glass with a foam plate to seal it all up. Hopefully this humidity dome will bring her back to life. If not I know what I did wrong now :) Thanks guys, sorry for the hijack.

Germinated my seed, planted, and now this one isn't coming up. It's been 4 days :( What am I doing wrong? Happy frog soil, water 2x a day to keep soil most, 80F, 60-70% humidity. I only water when soil looks bone dry so I don't over water. I place the seed taproot down just a hair below the...

On a side note, I killed my first seedling. I think the Fox Farm Ocean Forest might've been a little too hot, ugh. Now I gotta wait a month for more seeds to get here. Huge bummer. If anyone feels generous, feel free to send seeds my way :D I'll return the favor when mine get here. Will get...

Seems to be helping. What about putting a submersible water heater in the vornado? So It's evaporating warm water instead of cold? Think this would help too?

I'm fighting low humidity and cold weather right now. Temps at 61F I have a vornado humidifier and an oil filled electric heater, but I'm pretty sure they're just going to fight each other. Suggestions for this closet grow?

I ended up just canning the idea. I don't want to have PSU's hooked up to each other when I'm not home. Figured I'd bite the bullet and buy proper drivers. Don't want to worry about anything going wrong, and I'm not quite electrical inclined, so I don't have a lot of confidence in out of the...
