Making seeds is one of my main goals this season. Now my days are my own, so I was able to do lots of plants to find the best males. My wife is retiring at the end of the year, so there will be long lists of Honey do's in my future. No more 80 plant summers for me. Truth be told, six ounces...

The tarp shelter does catch a fair amount of oak leaves. But it was raining, so most of them had already washed off before I flushed the system.

Have you thought about making seeds? I would get a few regular seeds if I were buying them. At $15 a seed, I would hope for a male or two.

I've only had it happen once. And that plant had worms and wasps on it. I thought the wasp might have been laying the eggs the worms came from. But since then I have heard of a wasp that lays eggs in caterpillar larvae. That might have been the case. But I have no idea if the worms, wasps and...

No cell phone for me, smart or otherwise. The wife has one with her work, but that will be ending soon, so we may get one then. Like all tools, it's how you use it.

I did get cooled off the other night at the camp. I was changing the rain catching bucket when I tugged a little too hard on the line. Got a couple of gallons of rainwater dumped on my head. Luckily I was already in camp attire.

I cut out all of the dead parts of the Deer Ate CP1, but some of the other leaf tips are starting to curl up and turn brown. I don't feel good about it's chances.

I got the pack of water and food back to the GN patch this morning. No trouble at all getting to the pack. I picked up trash beside the road, then slipped into the woods. Didn't see a car coming or going. But when I went in the truck to pick the pack up later, my neighbor saw me and stopped to...

Bushcrafting, the weed addition: Bugout patch

Good of you to stop by. Maybe with fall and it's cooler weather on the way, I will be doing more bushcrafting. And less water carrying.

Good afternoon. At about 1500 it is 90F {HI of 95F} with 50% humidity in Marianna Fl. Forecast high of 92F with no chance or rain this afternoon, and a low of 70F tonight. Getting closer and closer to those mythical 60's. Can't wait to see them for myself.

I got over to check on the two runts in the GB patch just before dark. Food, water, brown sugar and Epsom salts. The little GV1 and GV2 are growing like crazy. They are just above and just below waist high. Looks like they are about to get started flowering.
