I've got a 600watt HPS in a 3x3 tent, so plenty of light but temps are a bit high. Temps are 85 degrees at the canopy with 40% humidity

The thing is the 'ripe' buds and the unripe buds are connected to each other - like the outter quarter inch is ripe, and once you get to the inner quarter inch near the stem it is unripe. It isn't possible to only harvest the ripe buds

My most recent plant has some pretty large buds. 12 weeks into flower, the outside looks proper and finished (amber trichs, hairs pulling in) but after cutting some buds off and trimming, I'm noticing that the buds closer to the stem are a pale green, don't have many trichs on them, and look...

I've got this hood: https://hydrofarm.com/p/RDUN but it did not come with the lens. My temps are around 83 F and I'd love to air cool it... But no lens makes that hard. Anyone have an idea of where to track one down? It seems like they've released new hoods since then and it just can't be found.

On Monday I did some trimming of a good number leaves that were covering up budsites and then fed with my standard amount of GH MaxiBloom. Water may have been ph'd slightly low, but nothing massively different. Since then almost all the remaining leaves have rapidly started to look like this...

I don't flush, unless you count using plain ph'd water for the last watering before chop flushing. The bud tastes great and my plant stays fed through to the end. I did a lot of reading about whether or not to flush before my first grow, and everything I read points to the same thing...

This grow is done, I ended up with 1.5 ounces of bag seed A (harvested too early cause I ran out of weed), 5 ounces of bag seed B (+ two ounces of good trim), and 7 ounces of the Cream & Cheese (and 1 ounce of good trim). Washed the Cream & Cheese bud before curing it and it smokes real nice...

About ten days into flowering, the leaves towards the bottom are yellowing and dying off which I understand to be a nutrient deficiency, but the leaves up top are a very deep green. I've included a photo.

One of my CBD plants, I can only water from above because I can't reach the pot. Some of the colas have visible nutrient residue on them - are they going to be safely smokeable? Or did I fuck up?

It is hard to get a good picture of, but the older growth on my 45 day flowering plants is yellowing - not just at the tips, but up and down the leaf. I've tried adding CalMg, upping potassium, nothing is helping. Any ideas?

Overdue update, flower day 57. I harvested a cola from Bag Seed B - I think it's pretty close to done, though I'm not seeing any amber trichomes. Almost all the pistils are orange on Bag Seed B Light nute issues with the CBD

I'm not sure what is going on with Bag Seed B - I think it may be revegging, cause the new leaves it is growing look real weird. The cream & cheese is looking much better in comparison And Bag seed A has stretched way above everyone else

New bulb didn't help, I'm considering getting a new ballast. Current ballast is a Hydrofarm magnetic ballast from 2007, hooked up to a hydrofarm rd luminaire hood. If I get a digital ballast, will that work with my hood?

No it's just not putting out as much light as it should be, and if I have to replace it I'm assuming I should get LEDs for the energy savings
