    Let's talk serious SCROG

In my experience flowering a plant twice has ill effects, the second harvest is usually much smaller and much weaker. Some growers cut the root mass back and reflower but most growers will tell you its a waste of time. You still have to re-veg and allow new growth to carry the flowers and if you...

    Let's talk serious SCROG

Sativas are such a pain, they are the reason I started doing scrog in the first place. The flowers get so dang heavy on those thin little branches they end up producing less when they have no support. The hormonal change that stops flower production in sativas is so much more abrupt, you go from...

Speaking of sativas- Here's some pics of my flowers with a bit better of lighting, still having focus issues, last Kodak I will buy (not a problem as Kodak is going under financially). I think I'm on day 38... math is hard atm XD

I'm also getting off the sativa bandwagon. There are nice sativa strains out there but hybrids can be as potent or more so and much easier to work with. I have done LST grows with afghan/skunk and ended up with 2-3 ft or more of just branches with maybe 7 inch buds at the tops, they just take...

No, the pics I was talking about are of flowering plants, 57 more days of flower :D

    Let's talk serious SCROG

Sounds like an interesting proposal, I don't know of any strain that needs a 6 inch screen hole for each top, you may end up with a lot of open canopy. 1-2 inch holes are really ideal, at least in my experience. The smaller the hole in your screen is, the easier it is to manipulate the...

Looks secksy, can't wait to see it flesh out.

    Let's talk serious SCROG

Ignore the crummy little plant in the background with brown leaves, thats my attempt at saving some soil plants I just stopped caring about because the strain isn't what I feel like doing at the moment.

While I'm doing updates, heres the VKs 24 hours after bending the stalks, sort of super-cropping to prepare for the screen.

Those pics are at about day 33, another 57 days or so should pack some weight on there.

That is a great chart, those higher temps have pretty high humidity values though, looks like a breeding ground for bacteria and molds but for the plants sake it makes sense. Bad Photo update time! Magnetic ballasts make me cry, I could use another light source for photos but I don't like to...

    Let's talk serious SCROG

Veg times are generally longer with scrog, the whole point is to let the plant grow up into the screen then start growing out and exposing more branches to light, the less time you spend vegging the smaller your scrog'd area will be, if you just let the plant grow up into a screen and dont give...

    Let's talk serious SCROG

I wasn't going to say anything (as my camera sucks at focus as well) but ya, can't see nothin' male or fem about those yet. The leaf burn looks like one of 2 things, over watering or root damage. They look like they were transplanted recently, if some of the roots were damaged in the move the...

Stelthy is right, you could start flowering now but if you want to make the best of that space give them another 2-3 weeks and train them out a bit. Patience is a vurtue when it comes to scrog, a little longer of a veg and you will be rewarded in the end.

    Let's talk serious SCROG

5 plants is honestly alot for a 400 watt scrog, I mean, its doable but start flowering like... right now, a screen would only support your canopy at this point, I don't know how big your plants are but a 400w doesn't have alot of coverage so if you were to scrog things would be pretty tight with...

Great questions, now we're cooking with gas! I will try to respond to them without quotes because I don't want an entire page of replies and I'm sure Legallyflying will want to put his 2 cents in so I will try to leave him room on the page :) First off, the master kush issue from Kevo...

    Let's talk serious SCROG

That is what they are perfect for! Ideally you want to pull clones from the bottom of a plant because there are more hormones for rooting. When using scrog, lower branches aren't always the most ideal choice as some of them may be thicker and branch better than a smaller stalk from the middle of...

Serious, kudos to you sir, it looks a tiny but crowded but I think you will do just fine, as always a very clean setup. I might thin out some of the smaller branches but thats gonna be a great harvest when all is said and done.
