    My new girl

It's not a serious problem, and more how the original poster takes it. I posted some pictures of N-tox here. That might help you gauge whether it applies to your plants. I would cut back on the N. You should start a thread with the details (soil, nutrients, how much you feed, the runoff ppm).

Mars 600 classic vs 2 Mars 300 Classics

If you used T5HO you could sell them on Craigslist. Mars is a disposable light. (I doubt it's much different than the Lush LED either.).

    My new girl

This is called thread hijacking. It's better to start your own. But, looks good. I think it looks a little too heavy on N. The leaves look a little droopy and maybe cupped (and I see a some clawed tips.). But, they look great for the stage of growth, especially if it's your first grow.

    The use of bloom boosters/additives

Yes, that sounds good. I don't go that high N in veg. But, lots of people do. You can mix it and the 1-1-2 to get something in between, say in transition to flower. You just enter the details from your two bottles into the spreadsheet, then play with amounts of each to see the NPK ratio. I...

Bagseed & MiracleGro Tomato ("the cheapsta'")

    Jan 16 (Day 52) Eighteenth feeding. 3.2g/gal. 480ppm measured (150 water + 330). Runoff: 1350ppm. 10% runoff. Jan 18 (Day 54) Nineteenth feeding. 3.0g/gal. 453-468ppm measured (148 water + 305-320). Runoff: 1280ppm. 10% runoff. This time I carefully measured 1 gallon in my bucket. So, the...

    The use of bloom boosters/additives

You don't need a lot of bottles. Some people use NPK ratio 1-1-1 all the way through. (I'm doing that right now with inexpensive MiracleGrow Tomato.). From what I've seen, fine tuning the NPK ratios adds a little improvement. It's nothing phenomenal if you've already learned to grow a plant at a...

"Area 51 LED" Information and discussion

    1. Will those models replace the existing three W90 models? Or, be additional choices? 2. Is the frequent (and long) out-of-stock condition due to demand, or is there a supplier problem? I always like to refer people to A51. But, it's kind of hard lately because of no stock. I'm curious if...

    Starting seeds in Rapid Rooters?

I just looked at an RR. The hole is 1" deep. It may be rooting, working it's way up. If it wasn't fully seated, the root may be growing down in free space (taking awhile to get leverage to push out). If it were fully seated, it could take awhile to grow that tall (to poke out). I would just...

    The use of bloom boosters/additives

This is one of those religious topics. The best thing to do is try it with/without. The biggest risk of the "booster" mentality is not being aware of the NPK *ratio* you are creating by adding a high-PK product to your ordinary fertilizer. For example, one person might be feeding an NPK ratio...

    290 PPM......

At 300ppm I'd want to know know what comprises those parts (in the PPM). You can call your water provider to find out. It may work for you. My water is 600-800ppm. I have to reduce it. I mix it down to 150ppm. If you do use filtered water to reduce your initial ppms, it has to be RO water, not...

    Starting seeds in Rapid Rooters?

Did you just drop the seed in the hole? Or, did you try to fill it in with material torn off the sides before adding the seed? How deep is the seed? (It may take awhile for it to reach out.). Can you see it or did you fill it with pieces after adding the seeed? Don't let those questions...

1000W SuperGrow LED Grow Light Anyone Try???

By the way, even the $500 epi-whatever lights aren't worth it (compared to T5HO for short spaces, or CMH for tall). For 16sq ft you need 450w of efficient LED like Area-51. That's $870 for 5 Area-51s. About $2 per watt (compared to 25-cents per watt for a light you'd have to run at 60w/sq ft)...

    Starting seeds in Rapid Rooters?

I've had 100% results with Rapid Rooters. But, they're made for cloning. The hole seems to be too large (wide/deep) for a seed. I flip it upside-down, poke my own seed-sized hole, and bury it flush in an 18-22oz seedling cup of soil. (I.e., I don't use a progragation tray). I put my cups in a...

    Flowering going so slow

You are right. (I'm like a random-number generator.). So, the light draws 580w/sq ft. That's only 23w/sq ft. You could run low watts like that with quality/efficient LED like Area-51. I do it with household LED lightbulbs. That article has a link to a pant I grew at 21w/sq ft. But, the...

    290 PPM......

If I were you, I would mix it 50/50 with reverse-osmosis filtered water (dispensed from vending machines, the gallon jugs of drinking water) and start with 150ppm.

    Flowering going so slow

The page you linked to said it draws 580w. You said you have a 10 sq ft, tent. That's 58w/sq ft. The way most LEDs (especially of the Amazon/eBay variety) state their capacity is the actual diode capacity (3w diodes * 100 diodes = 300w). It's not invalid. (You're buying that much diodes...

TASTY Led lights and bud boss

Sorry. I had a feeling I was going to trigger a reaction like that. I was just looking for the light's coverage. I didn't mean to imply the finer points are invalid.

    Flowering going so slow

That sounds pretty strong, and high in P at this stage of growth. (I finish at NPK ratio 1-2-1.8. You're doing 1-3-1.). That's 56w/sq ft. That's sounds right for Mars Hydro. This is an example of why MarsHydro isn't recommended much. At that power, you could run HPS and have a serviceable...

TASTY Led lights and bud boss

    I'm glad I was helpful. I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. I was referring to this information in a typical product's page: Space usage and light intensity in flowering mode (includes lens loss): 24" x 24" 950 PPFD 18" x 30" 1015 PPFD 24" x 36" 635 PPFD 36" x 36" 850 PPFD That's...
