    LED for micro cab...

I hope those lights work. I commend you for being the guinea pig. I bet that's an improvement over what you had. But.... if you could fashion reflectors around each bulb, you could take two bulbs out. I'm considering using a small, round food-storage container (maybe 4" diameter, 2" deep) as...

Best led for 3x3 tent, help

Are you just arguing for the sake of arguing? I agree with you, there are different ways to look at it. If you're ok with airy buds because it's your meds and you're not showing off maximum product, that's great. (Just like someone using Mars Hydro like HPS @ 90w/sq ft.). That's your choice and...

Best led for 3x3 tent, help

What other kinds of right are there? I tried to outline how someone running low w/sq ft could be happy with their produce. Someone running high w/sq ft could be happy with their "trophy" buds. To me, that's a couple of "perspectives" which could be seen as "right" for the condition. It...

Best led for 3x3 tent, help

Assuming the old Mars panels draw 150w each, you're doing 33w/sq ft. I really doubt you're getting great buds. Do you have any photos of how the buds turn out? There's nothing wrong with being happy with that. Growing your own cannabis is always better. It never matters how dense the buds are...

    Any advice?

I think I see N toxicity. Bluish green (dark green) and the edges are cupped. I don't see a distinct claw though. Odd since fertilizer is 1-3-1 NPK ratio (which shouldn't be ideal for veg).

    nuts

Sure. But, you don't need all those cartoon'ish bottles. Cannabis isn't that complicated. People grow fine with just a single dry product. (Plus, the owner of Advanced Nutrients is a pedophile. He left the company. But, they were so hype'ish, you can't know if he's gone or a silent partner...

Chosing a led for Two Plantes with a hydrophonic

Why are you choosing LED instead of T5HO or HID? Those inexpensive Amazon/eBay lights aren't worth the money. You end up having to run them at 50-70 watts per square foot in flower. Or, if you run them at their specified coverage (usually they are sold as covering 35w/sq ft) you'll get airy...

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

I got the following from LED. It's not the frostiest I've had. But, it's not like dry paper either. I'm growing one right now entirely under Cree household lightbulbs. I'm running an inexpensive UVB 10 reptile bulb (the short one, like a 16w?) two hours during lights on. I'll cut it back to...

Bagseed & MiracleGro Tomato ("the cheapsta'")

Jan 6 (Day 42) Thirteenth feeding. 3.5g/gal. 450ppm measured (150 water + 300). Runoff: 1100ppm. I fed a little lighter because of the N-toxicity mentioned two days ago. And, I fed with 5% runoff (much less than I normally do). Jan 8 (Day 44) Fourteenth feeding. 3.2g/gal. 475ppm (oops[1])...

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

Sam's Club. They just hit the market in the past few weeks I think (I saw it in a cNet article). They're $5 each to members. If you're not a member, you can get a pass to purchase them at $8 each. The specs on the box sound much better (95 L/w). They're using better diodes I guess. With the cap...

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

Ground Fault Interrupter. It protects against contact with any 120v surface which is exposed by removing the diffusor. I haven't tested what surfaces are shock-worthy. But, at least the two-prong thing sticking up 1/2" above the surface is line voltage. A dab of silicone on that might work. But...

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

I needed to do this anway. This is the GE 10w BrightStik with the diffuser removed: Putting that in a 5-1/2" reflector (Home Depot) results in 23% more lux than the Cree 9.5w A19. (But, removing the globe from the A19 could make them equal. The Cree's diodes are probably more efficient, the...

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

I may not understand. If you remove the diffuser of the BrightStik, the diodes all face in one direction (forward). I thought that's what you meant when you said "It's too bad the cobs aren't on top of the fixture rather than the sides." Just ignore me if I misunderstood.

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

Not to be a grumpy grammarian, but those are diodes, not cobs. And, look at the GE. It has the diodes "on top" as you said. That's what looks so appealing about it. Automatically 23% more light replacing a Cree 9.5w A19 in a reflector. And, massively more light than a free-hung CFL (due to the...

    Crispy Wilting Plants

Not to hijack further, but I really liked it. It's NL x Snow Storm. It has a bit of pine scent/taste. It's just as potent as anything else I've grown. (One guy who had a high tolerance to weed would say "I'm done" after 2-3 hits.). I planted directly in 3gal. I'd like to try transplanting 1gal...
