    LED light intensity

It is actually easier for the plant to use red photons. Outside of the red region, the plant needs to condition photons for PS1 and PS2 (680nm and 700nm) reactions. Lower wavelength photons have more energy which needs to be reduced (heat, other processes) before they can be used. I am not...

    Scrog advice....

You are fine. Gently move the branches into the empty spaces as they grow.

Actually, you are incorrect. 1000 umol of photons is the same regardless of spectrum as it is a photon count. Now if you said lux, and that sunlight would be more, then yes, you would be correct. Plants will use them all, some require less conditioning than others for photosynthesis. Warranted...

Wow so you won't take correct information from sources you don't like because of something you 'feel' isn't right? Sounds pretty limiting. No schooling either, I could not care less what you do or don't do. I just share what I find and others can choose to do what they want. What makes it even...

320w QB vs 300w Vero COB, what do you choose?

They will still shill even when you are using the manufacturer's tested performance specs. Welcome to the internet where everyone thinks they are a star.

Well your first problem is believing in what the 'grow bros' on youtube think is best. Guarantee for failure. Do your own research, look at the real scientific studies done by credentialed people. Not some guy who's claim to fame is growing illegally for 12 years. Or dropped out of university...

    Rockwool....

Lots of good posts in this thread. I think we can all agree that nothing compares to experience. If you want great results, that will coincide with what you learn and do. You should consider re-using your medium as much as possible. When done right it will provide numerous benefits.

If they are going to sell seeds for single grow, growers should be given 20+ seeds for the retail prices they are charging for 5. While still outrageous, I think that would be a happy compromise. Grower is going to be able to pick the best plants and toss the rest. 5 or 10 packs aren't enough...

Mutation! Yeah there is a lot of variation even within a strain. That is why mother/pheno hunting is popular. If you are stuck with only a few seeds then you don't have much choice. Get out of that over priced seed gong show and get a reasonable supply source.

LED CRI suggestions for veg flower, or does it matter?

A bit of subjective observations from this run hunting for some nice mother plants I have noticed that the 90s have much better veg growth than the 80s. The 3000k CCT 80 CRI is not even doing as well as the blurple. All at same ppfd to the canopy, same temps (low at 22-24c) with the only...

LED CRI suggestions for veg flower, or does it matter?

Probable purpose is to use the most of the diminishing light at sunset and the increasing light at sunrise. Mother Nature is smart like that.

You can reduce your lights on time and increase dark cycle. Saves on power usage and gives options like running multiple chambers on a schedule thus increasing your growing area using the same power budget. They aren't monsters, they are beautiful creatures bearing gifts of joy and happiness.

Will 2 of these 600 watt LED COB diode lights match a 1000 watt HPS?

2 different perspectives. I am working with the light output for a given amount of power which is presented on the data sheets. You guys are looking at from all those other things which are better handled as necessary overhead anyhow. Many can be offset with other means. Example, why use...

Will 2 of these 600 watt LED COB diode lights match a 1000 watt HPS?

I don't know why you guys aren't using your component manufacturers' data. The budget they put into QA exceeds your combined sales forever so it would make business sense to leverage it. That is not being adversarial but respectful just to make it clear. Everyone is so thin skinned on the...
