I don't have any rot yet, but my biggest ones took a pounding Monday/Tuesday. Lost four big limbs between 3 plants, they are hanging. Things looked pretty good yesterday, but I don't have high hopes by the time this one rolls through.

I went through the same here in Maine two nights ago. I lost four limbs off three different plants, but it's so close I just retried them up and hung the broken limbs. Like you they were all staked and tied good, it's just they were 9-11' plants with large heavy buds.

Things are looking real good here too.

Cut the bud off below the rot and toss it. Treat the area with peroxide diluted with water and hope for the best. You don't want to smoke that.

Chances are when you buy it, it's already over a year old.

They look ok, as others have said doesn't look like a lot of yield. My biggest suggestion since this is your 1st grow is to research, talk with other growers. While I don't use it myself, Miracle Grow gets a lot of bad press on here. I know several people that that's all they use and produce...

I would clean all that dead and dying shit up, thin it out some, feed them a good balance fertilizer. Give them some love and hope for the best. You might be surprised, it's weed it will grow and produce.

I use a good compost mixed with cow manure, tomato tone and garden tone to start, them pretty much just water. Mid summer I top coat with the tomato tone again, soon as the stretch starts or just before I start feeding Jacks 10-30-20. Low labor and Cheap, I grow some nice plants with this combo...

Update from Southern Maine, still no budding but the stretch seems to be about over, so it'll happen soon. I included a couple wood photos. I'm normally shy about my wood but these are respectable this year.

Things are getting bushy around here,the stretch has started.

I had some limbs snap (4) in a nasty storm also, was able to save two of the limbs with tape. The other didn't take. It sucks but it is the risk of being outside.
