It’s been about a month since I posted any updates. Things are moving along fairly nicely here in southern Maine. The stretch should be starting in another week or two. The Oreo will be a big plant when it’s done. The Mai Tais are looking ok, first time growing them.

I am in Maine and have never had any problems with rain other than too much in the fall. I wouldn’t stress out over acid rain. As far as topping, I would not do anything once the stretch starts.

the rainwater yesterday seemed to absolutely love it, noticeably greener afterwards.. Lastly, what do you guys do to prevent/control Septoria Leaf Spot? So far so good, i’m just concerned for the future, especially during the flowering months. I know it only effects foliage and pretty much it’s...

That is a large leaf, talk about a solar panel. If that plant was in the ground it would a big one. Clones can get just as robust as plants grown from seed.

Here’s what I have going this year. The tallest one is an Orezo the other three are all Mai Tai. The two smaller ones had a rough start. I didn’t harden them up enough before putting them in. They have turned around in the past couple weeks though.

About the same, six weeks or so. A frost or two won't hurt anything as long as it warms up during the morning. It's a hard freeze that will do the damage. I am in Maine and have had many frosty mornings over the years and things are fine.

    Yellowing

Outside plants yellow as they mature and start to bud. Some more than others depending on the strain. It normally starts on the lower branches and works it way up. It's normal don't sweat it.

Been a shitty season here in Southern Me. Plants are very small compared to most years past. To much rain and to little sun. Just the same it won't be a total loss. A couple have just started their stretch.

    Feeding in the rain.

That's exactly what I use along with a taste of fish emulsion here and there. Good stuff and cheap. It's surprising the people still struggle with feeding the soil.

I'm pretty much done for this year. I have four of them all bagged up with the last two still hanging. Had a great season, so far yield has been great each plant has been a pound plus and I expect another couple from the last two. Good luck guys.

I haven't hit the 30s, been in the low 40 though. I agree it's been one of the better seasons here at the coast as well. No PM and very little rot. I took down most of one BP plant yesterday. Still have 5 to go, 2 I am hoping to leave as late as possible.

Still hanging in there, had some pretty shitty weather last week. Many droopy branches, they struggled with the rain and wind. Only found a couple small spots of rot so far. I have been using Captain Jacks Fungicide this year, so far it's done ok. Anyway, I retired things up the best I could and...
