The plant didn't get fimmed or topped. You just pinched a little too high. It only cut off the tip of your leaves. Next leaves out will be normal. Better off topping from my experience.

I don't see any problem with your venting as long as you have a good air supply coming in. 4 lights would only be 1260 watts. Piece of cake in 8" ducting. Try to use insulated solid pipe if you can for that...

A long ways. How far to you need it to go? It's way over kill for 600 watts in a tent. That's one reason I suggested the speed controller.

Your also going to want a speed controller for your exhaust fan. It allows you to dial in the temperature along with the amount of negative pressure...

You can either put the exhaust fan inside or outside the tent, I know for a fact, try it. It really doesn't make much difference, just what ever works better for you. The negative pressure occurs due to the exhaust fan pulling air out easier than the air coming into the tent.

I think your safer with 24,000 btu. You don't want the units running 24/7.
