You can build a led light that will do well but it will be fairly costly if you have a decent size space. But lowers light bill and less heat (not as much as some make it seem but not as much as mh puts out)

MH rocks for veg I wouldn't change it up I have been trying to veg with some cheap led lights and the plants are nothing compared to my MH that I'll be hanging back up in the morning. Nope the hood dont matter. What's important is making sure the bulb matches the ballast.

If your asking about using the hood with a 600 watt ballast and 600 watt bulb in a hood you previously ran with 1000 watt bulb and ballast that's fine. If your trying to run a 600 watt bulb on a 1000 watt ballast then no you can't. Hoods can be hooked up to pretty much any ballast you might have...

Get a hps light I think is what he is saying. People use LEDs to use less energy. Your using the same amount power as a hps light and will only get ok results.

Cobs would be nice that's what I run but I think it might heat it up a little much when all closed up. The strips (I've never ran) people say run cool and can have plants closer to them. If I were you the strips would be a good choice and I'm pretty sure they are not all that expensive.

Works great it's only 5 bucks where I'm at. And one bottle should clean multiple bowls or bongs. They even make one for oil rigs I used not to long ago and also worked great.

If just a clone a 1 gallon or up to a 5 gallon. I start in solo cups then 1 gallons then to final pot of 3 gallon or 5 gallon.

If your growing 100 seeds and up money shouldn't be much of a issue for you. If your that concerned with saving a few dollars email a couple reputable seed banks and see if they offer any discounts.

I zip tied a 2x4 to one of the posts a couple years ago and then mounted the fan to the 2x4 worked just fine in my cheap Chinese tent I had from Amazon

They are cheap to buy if your really worried about getting caught pitch them an buy new ones in Florida.
