Yep, that is how I justified mine, I was able to cancel my water delivery service for drinking water and I'm coming out way ahead money-wise even figuring in new filters AND I have all the water I need for growing.

Getting woken up at 5:00 a.m. at gun point with your dog laying dead in the corner after being shot and your house getting broken up and torn into shambles and your kids crying their eyes out and you and your girlfriend sitting in handcuffs for the next 8 hours while the cops look through every...

    bedroom ventilation

You need to clean that air. As soon as you start growing your furnace will quit working or your water heater will bust or *something* so that you will need to have people enter your house. And even if you don't have visitors, you still open the door and accept packages, etc - a full-blown grow...

My Self Built Stealth Cabinet Grow (how to build a cab) My Pride And Joy

You could buy ten of them and they won't work. Something called static pressure. Just buy one real fan and be done with it. Vortex, Sunleaves, etc.

Welcome!!! ONLY Miracle Growers are Allowed.. Everybody else?...go play on a highway

Screw MG. Any knob can grow marijuana in MG, sure the stuff is a little hot, big deal. If Grandma can grow a African Violets in it, I can surely grow some weed. No, I hate MG because they are not a good company. In fact they are a bad company. A greedy multi-national chemical company. The...

My tank is a five pounds. I get it filed at a fire extinguisher store, but yeah, welding shop works. I'm growing in a wardrobe so I don't use too much gas. I love the hood, it is working on it's fifth grow now and it does the job perfectly.

My plants seem really small for 2 weeks.

Vahn, everyone is right that you need to check your PH, but I don't think that is the problem here. You are using some brand new FF soil that would fix the PH of the tiny bit of water you have been giving them. I say the problem is humidity. Are you in a cold part of the world with forced air...

Harvest a Pound Every Three Weeks!

64 ppm sounds entirely within reason for some bottled water. I'm no expert, but I would stick with the tap water for now, at this point you won't gain much by dragging bottles around, IMO. Like StinkBud said, be sure and skip the CalMag. I don't think taste will be affected either. The real...

    co2 setup pics

I think I have a pic, but it is just a tank sitting there inside my grow area. A couple things to remember: CO2 sinks, so in my case I put the hose around the light so the CO2 drops onto the plants. The previous poster was correct that ambient CO2 is ~300 ppm, you want 1500 ppm, so you need to...

Harvest a Pound Every Three Weeks!

The EPA's acceptable limit for drinking water is 500 ppm. I'm in a private community on well water and they struggle to keep us right at 500 ppm, that is to say very hard water. If Dirt is on city water, 590 ppm seems like a misreading - on well water though, I'd believe it.
