I think you would need to test "hot" when it first comes out of the tap and still cool. Would probably make the reading more consistent I would guess. You could probably let the hot "rest" and cool off too. I just don't know that hot and cold won't effect readings. No clue. My stick was D.O.A...

No prob dude, sorry for getting defensive. It just seems to only grow in desert areas, and if he is "in the valley" then valley fever is a serious concern. I don't even know that the fungus will survive with frequent watering. It's just a concern that is very specific to the region.

Arizona dirt gave me a horrible lung condition. I wouldn't want it anywhere near my bud. Valley fever and all kinds of other shit is lying dormant in az "soil". Idk if it can transfer to bud, but they say to never mess with the dirt or go out in a dust storm. A dust storm FUCKED my lungs up.

Yeah should be fine. Only concern is less surface area that can get dusty. But likely non -issue imho. after about 4-6mo, I start noticing slight odors when the lights come on.

Topsoil and perilite is better than MG potting mix. Mg also has slow release notes which basically never works. Even miracle grow perilite mixed with cheap topsoil is better... Because at least the perilite isn't slow release.
