    DIY with Quantum Boards

While your here, why not take a look at the REAL OQ boards? All those Chinese "QB" boards are a rip off of Horticultural Lighting Groups far superior product. And get a three year warranty! Sometimes it's well worth it to spend just a little more for a far better product!

why drive them hard? Electronics + heat = eventual failure. Every LED system has a sweet spot where output and efficiency balance. Why not get one more and have lighting that will last longer and be more efficient?

It came with that for a driver?? where did you buy it? What V are the boards? what is the milliamps is that? What V? if it will actually drive them looks like you'd have to cut the DC plug off and would need some 20 gauge wire to connect them together. Those are the ir boards?

There is no need for 14 gauge wire the loss is miniscule in 18 gauge.

I think you mis worded this .22783 watts is slightly more than a 1/4 watt and is 0.0012 percent of 240 watt total. the loss is insignificant.

I believe those 133s are only rated for 75 watts and bending the pins may or may not give much of an increase in cooling capacity .

And they started righ here on RIU as enthusiasts. They didn't run out and borrow $100 million and have no stock holders to grease.

Excuse me....lol! I have 5 different QB lights running in various configurations and your right, they were in series, my bad. I had run my QB 120s on a 24V power supply, actually had tried 3 different ones and they all sucked.

I ran 2 24V boards in parallel on an 80H-54. My mistake I meant a CC-CV like the 80H. You can't run a 50Vf cob/board in parallel on this driver as it maxes at 54 volts

No, you wire them in series not parallel on these Cv drivers. If you want to run 4 boards, get the 150H-54. The 150H-54 gives a little more actual amperage than the 48. I have an 80H-54 that pulls 109 watts from the wall, minus driver losses is still about 104 watts!

run 4 boards on an HLG240H-C1050. you can't run more than 4 boards per driver and no driver will support 8 boards in series on this type driver as the voltage limit for the wire connector is 300V max as on the CC+CV drivers the voltage adds up per board. You could use a 480H-54 but the problem...

I've been running 3 QB 288 V1 @ 55 watts without a heatsink for over a year now without a problem. I have a pair on an 80H54 that is powering them to that level ( 117 watts from the wall ). I've got about $115 invested as I got the drivers for $15 each! ( from a going out of business sale ), so...

There is absolutely nothing in the spectrum of a CFL that can't be had in LED, and they are very inefficient compared to LED. Also, if you are going to make the statement " significant evidence" about anything, then you should provide links to said data, otherwise it's still conjecture.
