I have been in and out of security issues. So im down to a smaller 3x3 tent. Going 400 mh veg and 1200w led + 400 HPS for flower. In a 5 gallon dwc. Its all I really know to be honest is hydro. When I had my big setup I liked a drip system in coco! Was running all my lights $$ :P

Lots of air. Big stone. Soak stone before using. Keep good water temps. Low ec. Keep an eye on ph. And hold on to your freaking socks because give it the right conditions you have never seen growth like dwc. Again, I run low ec - Are you running RO? If so sup with cal mag.. Best of luck!

You can grow with it but unless you make a beuty of a scrog with perfect cfl lighting like an inch away at all times with side ligting.. yes.. I guess you could.. but why?
