Only water when the soil feels pretty dry. Water enough so that it will drip down from the bottom drain holes. When they get to the dry point, I tend to water a little more then I need to so I make sure ever inch of soil is damp. As long as you have those drain holes, you should be okay...

You would be much better off with a lot of CFLs if you are going to use them. I would use at LEAST 2 per plant, but try and get more if you can. If you have the space invest in a MH or HPS light setup. You will see much better results with them. Good Luck!!
