Can you rule out bugs, fungus, getting water on your leaves, etc? Those brown spots make me think Manganese def if you rule out all the other, but I also see some overnuting like Twisty said... Do a search for Manganese def and see what you think.

to nute or not to nute.. that is the question

I've switched to hydro as well, but I did a few grows in FF soil before with FF nutes. Because you aren't using straight FF soil, here is my advice: I wouldn't add additional nutes unless I see a problem. Some type of deficiency. I take it this is one of your first grows? The way I see it is...

    what spectrum MH lamp ?

There is a difference, MH is a little better for vegging. But here is the deal. I veg for about 4 weeks and flower for 8-9-10 weeks. The time is flower is at least 2x longer than veg and since HPS is better at flowering it makes sense to use HPS if you want only one light. My last grow with a...

Harvest a Pound Every Three Weeks!

I've always been told to never top a plant once she is in flowering. I would get creative and keep bending those plants. I've found that there is always a way to LST just a little more.

Harvest a Pound Every Three Weeks!

You might be the first! Give it a go and let us know what happens. Pictures too. I'd try it, but my lawn is currently on a hunger strike on account of being dry humped at the moment by the 3 feet of snow laying on top of it.

Harvest a Pound Every Three Weeks!

My understanding is that the cfm rating is the speed limit at which the air will be properly scrubbed. Once you start moving air through the filter too fast, the available carbon surface area is overwhelmed and odors start getting past the filter. If you find that is the case in your situation...

    superthrive

I've never seen a side by side test. Lot's of opinions here, but no facts as far as I've seen. That said - I use it when I want my plant to grow roots - i.e. seedling stage and 1st half of veg and then I quit using it.

    MG soil BAD! VERY BAD!

If you have the FF right there, it is nuts to keep using the MG. Get it out of the MG and life will get better. Let the soil dry out and carefully move it. Leave all the dirt around the roots, don't try and chip away at it or anything. Transplanting done right shouldn't shock the plant in the least.
