To flush or not to flush?

This subject gets put through the wringer every once in a while. Why not try both and see what works for you. I tend to flush it about a week before harvest depending on how much nutes show up in a soil test. If they are high- I flush. My last 2 grows took longer than I planned to...

    Its Just Different

I would not spray unless I saw the thrips themselves. In my grows they come and go and if I watch them 2 or 3 days- they usually disappear if RH is low (under 50%) and air flow is there......... and soil surface gets dry between waterings. they seem to like it with high RH and no air...

Seed to harvest (2nd grow). All quantum board LEDs

the 1st cot popped up above the soil surface today. I now have 7 seeds that split open in water (24-48 hrs) and then were placed just under the surface of the potting soil. So 4 days from the water to the 1st "pop" above the surface. It is pale and does not look so verile...

    Best LED for space

I would look for about 40 watts of "good" led light per sq. ft. (that is what I have). With samsung lm301B diodes and meanwell drivers............ Whatever combination of quantum boards or light strips you can do that with. With dimmers if you are growing from seedlings under them...

Seed to harvest (2nd grow). All quantum board LEDs

I dropped 6 seeds in water last Thursday (thanksgiving). 4 seeds split and showed tails in about 24 hrs. I took these and put them under about 1\4 inch of soil in small clay pots. 1 of the remaining seeds split in about 48 hrs and was placed in soil (tail down). One seed never split and...

    Sweetgrass

Hold out your hands and let me lay in them freshly picked sweetgrass. Hold it up to your nose. Find its fragrance. The sweet-smelling hair of Mother Earth. Breathe it in and you start to remember things you did not know you had forgotten...... I could hand you a braid of it, like that which...

First day for my new babies. Mephisto halloween illuminatos

315w of cmh? How high? the seedling looks good to me - it looks like it wants more light perhaps. But it sure has potential. You can bury that stem up to the cots if need be, no? best regards- I am starting a grow myself lately

Seed to harvest (2nd grow). All quantum board LEDs

I should start a 2nd journal. I went thru 2 grows last year about this time and it went OK. Only problem really was bud rot at harvest. So I will pay attention this time to R.H. and air flow during flower stage. I will change from a mix of HID and LED to all LEDs this time. I will...

Do you use a humidity dome for cuttings?

I use the dome (like above) over a heat mat. The clones go into peat plugs until roots show then I place them in the potting soil. It seems to work for me so that is what I keep doing. I keep everything in high humidity (60-70%)........ even after the soil placement. then I wait...

    Best quote of the year!

What if you were a teacher, but had no voice? What if you had no language, but had something to say? Would you dance it? Would you act it out? Would your every movement tell the story? In time, you would be so eloquent that just to gaze upon you would reveal it all- and so it is with...
