Seed to harvest (2nd grow). All quantum board LEDs

I should start a 2nd journal. I went thru 2 grows last year about this time and it went OK. Only problem really was bud rot at harvest. So I will pay attention this time to R.H. and air flow during flower stage. I will change from a mix of HID and LED to all LEDs this time.

I will start in this 2x4x4ft. box - with 2 100 watt led quantum boards. Over these little greenhouses on heat mats for 5 plants each. I will germinate 10 seeds- 5 in each batch spaced a week apart. And take them thru most of the veg. stage.
I will later transfer them to more light in 2 more 2x4x5ft. boxes....................for late veg thru flower.

The last journal helped me plan this one so we will see how it goes this time.

I think I only need one grow per year like this (if all goes well) for my purposes.......

yo- It could be a long winter here so I may as well grow for it

I will be in organics roots potting soil and clay pots to start with- then change to 5 gal cloth bags.
Nutes will be general hydro- micro and flora bloom (Lucas Formula).................
I may use a little weak fish emulsion on the seedlings to start but intend to use the Lucas in increasing concentrations from early veg thru mid- flower and then taper off on nitro some for harvest..........after the growth spurt when I flip to 12&12........

I will start the seedlings on an 18 & 6 light cycle under about a 200 PAR value (for the leds)........then build up to about 700 to 900 PAR for late flower- I may taper off on PAR at late flower also depending on the bud situation

Thats the plan- and so it begins. I am now just bringing up temps in the greenhouse for seed germination....

For me , I think you're invest energy in your grow where you don't need to.

I dropped 6 seeds in water last Thursday (thanksgiving). 4 seeds split and showed tails in about 24 hrs. I took these and put them under about 1\4 inch of soil in small clay pots. 1 of the remaining seeds split in about 48 hrs and was placed in soil (tail down). One seed never split and I "planted" it anyway.

I put 2 more seeds in water today. When they sink I will put them in the dark in the greenhouse and wait for them to split. When they do, I will then start the light cycle. Maybe I should wait for the light until they break the surface? In any event, I intend to start about 200 Par over 8 seeds in 8 small pots......
after seeds are in the soil with tails down. One may not ever split........

They are all in the dark now with 5 of 8 seeds split and showing tails (so far). 6 of them are in the soil in clay pots......

The strain is "Train Wreck" . 65% Sativa, 35% Indica. is what they say. but I got nothing to show for it yet

the 1st cot popped up above the soil surface today. I now have 7 seeds that split open in water (24-48 hrs) and then were placed just under the surface of the potting soil. So 4 days from the water to the 1st "pop" above the surface. It is pale and does not look so verile............

the bloomfield board was turned on for 1st light on the seedlings. It shows 220 PPFD on the top of the greenhouse.
