theres little scales on the top right hand corner of posts, but to be honest with you, i enjoy when someone enjoys my help, i hate to feel like a rep whore, the once in a while acknowledgment from my peers is gratifying enough
Cool, I don't have to change a thing for my RH. Can you give me any advice on how tall I should veg these girls and if and when i should fim/top. My cabs 30w x 20d x 72"h. Should I fim/top or just let em grow?
me and many others on RIU purchase good meters from ebay PH, EC and TDS http://cgi.ebay.com/Milwaukee-pH600-Digital-pH-Tester-Meter-Pocket-Pen-New_W0QQitemZ270401897641QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef53584a9&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 i had this unit for a year until i broke it, now i have a PH52 model for temp and PH, also water proof for $50 shipped when my local store sells this exact model for $90
persoanlly i prefer humidity at 30-40, cus once you kick it into flowering it will go up to 40-50RH, all the way up to 70% is too close for comfort since it it makes it an ideal home for insects to nest and mold and all that nasty crop killing shit. the only time high humidty should be used is when cloning, especially in rockwool, up to 90% RH, used with a dome it allows them to ratian moisture along with keeping the medium moist, without a dome your media will dry out over night.
I checked my cab this morning and after 12 hours they grew an inch and the roots look better. I won't be able to insulate me res until tuesday. I can get my cab up to 80 and the res at 69 now. After I insulate I hope to go up to 90. I got a new ph test kit and I think I've had my ph way too low, but I got it at 5.5 now. My humidity runs between 35-45. Should I get a cheap cold mist humidifier? Like you, my next buy is gonna be a good ph and ec meter and I'd love to have a co2 monitor/meter. How bad will this low humidity effect my veg growth? Appreciate your advice. I hope you can advise me through a veg cycle to help me get a good yeild out of this. Thank you bro.
some strains like to get purple stems, a sure sign of a healthy ass plant is all green stems, that color if not from genetics is from some type of stress, i just dont remember what causes it, but heavy indicas like kushes tend to get darker stems, everything sounds like you got things under control, once you get water temps down and can control air temps, you own the grow, as opposed to the grow owning you. if you can manage to get the room to 85-90 and keep water in the 60's, the added c02 will make a noticable difference
hey morris, I pulled my smaller plants and chucked em, i started on hygrozyme today and noticed roots are getting whiter and fish-bonish. my res stays at 68 and my cab at 75-80. i'm gonna try to go 90-95 in my cab once i insulate my res. anyway, when i chucked my plants i noticed that one of the kandy kush the underside is solid purple. is that from my a/c, genetics, or nutes? Can post a pic if it would help.
Hey Morris thanks again for the advice on the set up. Your advice worked every time. I have no experience on how to get a good yield out of this. Got pics up on the thread.
Hey Morris thanks for the Co2 advice. The H2o2 that I'm using is 3% and I used 2tsp. per gallon, I'll bump it up next time. I've got new pics up when your ready to look at em.
Hey Morris thanks for all your help. Check out the thread when you get a chance.
once you see that tail break open from the shell you need to get it into some kind of medium, but if thats not possible, i dont know what method you used to germ them, whatever it is try to keep them moist
By the way they would have to sit another 24 hours before i can get them into rockwool is that going to be to long and thats what I was wondering on my last message
Thanks soo much for your help. I live in the middle of butt freaking egypt and the nearest hydro store is 100 miles do you think it will hurt the seeds if they just germinated last night to sit one more day. I cant thank you enough for the help because i spent a lot of money on this stuff and am just wanting to make sure everything is right.
Hi i got a ebb and flow with the 55 gallon drum with the fill and drain. I wan needing some help understanding what to do after I germinate the seeds. I shouldn't put them in the 2 gallon buckets should I? What do I need to do since the seeds just now have a root system. I was wondering if I should put them in something smaller and transplant them until the roots get long enough to reach the water when the pump fills my system up. Thanks for any help at all on this matter. Do you have the same sytem if so I am also having problkems with my pump in the 55 gallon drum not pumping the water to the controller. It wont do it until I pick it up and then drop it back down.

    Thanks
