the "Race is a social construct" meme has been percolating since the 70's, but only a fool believes it.

"Race" is simply the word used to describe differing varieties of human based on phenotype (obvious physical differences) which perviously had been fairly accurate at describing the society and culture from which they came.

the term "Race" ONLY describes physical differences imposed by environment on humans in widely separated communities.

unless you are trying to argue that there are NO physical differences between people who's ancestors evolved to suit africa's climate, and those who changed to survive east asia, the americas or northern europe, you are simply WRONG.

sociologically and physically, these groups are VERY different, and one size does not fit all.

The irony of his post that "race is a social construct" in a thread where DNA tests were used to prove the ancestry of this North Dakota fellow is pretty funny. I didn't know "social constructs" had a DNA signature!

Racial features developed as a product of nature over time. But, their expression doesn't show in proportion to genetic make up. Once you mix, you have no idea how many generations ago the mixing happened. Very low percent of total genetic material can and do show pure blood traits. You just don't know without a DNA test. Throwback genetics usually dissapear when the the other parent has the different trait, though. Eugenics theory is total bullshit. This has been known for thousands of years, but the propaganda is there to prevent the next evolution.

I think Kynes is referring to the fact that man's beginning is traced to the African Continent. We all started there is the accepted theory now. Evolution has made some of us taller, darker, stronger, but not smarter, no, not smarter, evolution only happened below the neck.

Sorry for that last sentence, I just get a kick out of the PC crowd and like to kick their nests from time to time. I think they would implode before admitting some geographical areas may have required brain over brawn to survive more so than other geographical areas.
