sfv og!! yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. you in the states? what coast you on? upper, mid, south :]

you better be on a coast!! if you aint, thats probably whhy your lungs hurt :p

jk, winterizing really really makes a difference, when done properly.. just make sure you dissolve in alcohol FIRST!, may need to use slight heat to dissolve, but it works.. then freeeeze

oh shit.. its sir dbBNS THREAD... yo! its been long enough, im ready to see some blondeee oil, cut um ddooownnnn :]
Yep mid-coast CO reppin! Picked up the SFV Kush cut years ago in Santa Cruz of all places ;)

When I added the everclear i did have to slightly heat to completely dissolve the oil, now it's chillin in the freezer for a day.

Just did a few heat vacs an muffined my SFV OG right up, alas it didn't keep the muff top but got damn this shit hits hard!!!

It's a wonderful amber taffy that isn't sticky at all and shatters off the dabber after warming and forming with my fingers...

Finally garlictrain gots his one hit wonder meds back! thanks everyone!!!

will let you know how my winterizing goes!

Morning Colorado!

Welp... Hmmmm ..I've gone back a bit to match up some dates to pics..
I think I may be a week off, I was looking at some pics and the date they were taken..

I don't believe I was flowering at all when I hit the 12/12 switch..

So, I'm thinking I'm a week behind, meaning I'm just now approaching 56 days of actual flower time.

Reason being, I experienced some significant new growth overnight.
The buds continue to get more plump, and some new leaf has sprouted out of my top buds.

And I found a bunch of interior buds on SN2!!!
Didn't even know they were there...lol

And I believe I screwed up my guess on the trichome maturation..

It's closer to 60% milk/ 40% clear..
Noob mistakes..lol

Pics .

SN2

Shit,... Photobucket is acting up...

Lol..
Axl Rose whistles..

” just a little patience...yeaaaaahh-ahh”

Oh man Sir Dabs good looking out man that's actually a very serious realization!

Glad it hit ya before the chop!

I've seen upwards of 35% bud swell in the last 2 wks of most strains if given ample time in the bloom room.

Worth every drippity drop of sweet ganja mother's milk.

Also some oil info from a buddy who makes wax and shatter for a MIP up here...

he's been getting HIGHER BHO yields from the SYNTHETIC grown meds vs any other! He also is saying that the synth fresh frozen is flipping into wax within hrs where as the organic ff stays oily until vac/heat purged into shatter. No mention of "winterizing" and when asked he replied the "market" demand is waxy heavy hitting lung coating terp rich oils/budder/wax/ and that commercially shatter is a pain, not to mention winterizing is for those in the KNOW and the dispensary market isn't there yet.

Seems like a matter of preference as we dabbed some headband he blew for a facility that he flipped to wax and then my amber shatter beauty SFV oG...

The headband straight tasted "wet", and quite synthetic, not of tane but of something maybe leached by the tane? IDK is 24hrs long enough for a heat mat purge, I mean yeah I've seen it flip in hrs myself but I like to go days even a full wk on low temp heat.... SO MANY TRICKS OF THE OIL TRADE TO LEARN!!!
My SFV OG is organic but also from old nuggities so was decarbed but tasted, felt like a better product....

I certainly don't discredit his wax mastery as I work with my OWN flowers and he works with everyone one elses ;)

Though he is going to be my secret weapon to help me process my OD trim into a shit ton of wax!

Good morning GT!!
I believe that the synthetic nutes produce higher yields because, we end up with those synthetics remaining in the plant material = larger yield..

I'd love to believe commercial growers are flushing their plants properly, but..alas, I do not believe this to be true.
The problem (as I'm sure you are aware of) it's not the grower, but the proprietor committing the blasphemy.

In regards to the D-limonene.. Some here in Colorado have already been looking into it as a solvent..

D-limonene is also a natural occurring terpene within cannabis, more prominent in the citrus strains, i.e. Agent Orange, Grapefruit, etc..

I've only read about adding limonene back into the extraction in small doses to achieve the oh-so-desirable” citrus bliss” flavor profile.

Ok..back to some pics..

Love this pic, 2 pheno on left,3 is below and to the right

May have already posted these two..lol

So happy that I haven't chopped yet, I would of lost out on some significant yield.

Even big heavy buds that were on thick beast stems, were standing straight up, Even the beast stem (branch) is now flopping..hehe..

Some of the 3 buds are super purple..

Ughhh, I'm about to run out of oil!!!

panic mode..lol

I got less than a gram, uhhh.. So that kind of makes Sir-dabs” non existent”..haha

I recommend forgetting about flower age...

Over the years I have found this is best...The only time I check, is when I put up picture updates.
I say this because people get super eager around the "average flower time", and when a few days have past, and they are 5+ days past "the day", they freak out.

You have to remember that the "average flower time" is generally just marketing. They are going to take the quickest plant, then cut 1/2 a week off, then tell the public "8 week flowering strain!"
On top of that, you have the fact that these numbers are under PERFECT conditions. PERFECT. If your not at 100% perfect humidity and temps or have enough lumens in your garden, add 1-2 weeks.

I have only had a plant finish in it's advertised time once or twice. The rest, an added 1 - 1 1/2 weeks to what the seed co says.
If you put down the calandar, and forget about the days, the weeks and the months, your plant will feel like it is growing faster, and you will not have the anxiety that arises during the "dude, it's totally time to harvest right now according to the seed co" point-in-time.

The plant will tell you when it's done by it's appearance. The trichomes tell the only story you need to hear. ;)
(ALL IMO)

I agree. I went an extra week without realizing it. I'm glad I just based my chop of the plant, instead :weed:

That is mighty fine advice brother Mid.

I just was thinking...upon looking this morn, I just mehhh,
needs another week, because maybe I've gotten my weeks mixed up..

This is a great sign to me IMO.

Reason being..
I've already surpassed the ” due date” ... with a mere shrug of the shoulders..

This tells me; I do have the passion to grow quality cannabis with and posses the patience to do so.

I am blessed to have met folks like Mid, as they have taught me such things..
Time will only improve the final flower, as she ripens and gets fat and greasy..

And I desire some sleepy amber in there, also...

High CBN content = Super fucking shattery oils...(although it's a shade darker) like a bright orange hue.

The pic in my profile is shatter made from a late harvested NL#5 flowers that was covered in amber-ish trikes.
To this day, that is the best concentrate I've ever had.

I rally want to produce something like that with this crop...

I plan on running as much as possible from each strain.
The oil created from these three plants should create quite the unique effect.

2 have super high Sativa qualities with high THC levels...
One has an extremely high CBD content.

Errrl Algebra
Dank x Wow + noicee x fiyyyyaaaa x y = Incredible oil..

Lol, sorry, I smoked a fatty...lol

Sir dabs those are looking on point, when you do chop, you should see some percent of Amber and a small amount of clear 10% amber 5% clear and the rest milky. Those arnt by the book just food for thought!!

What is your plan of action? Sorry if I missed, but are you flushing dabs?

Yup, been flushing for about 14 days already, maybe longer

I would never know it though,...because the flowers continue to swell..crazy.

Maybe I did over-feed?....either way...it worked (I think?)

Haha
Edit: plan of action..

Let the plant get ripe and greasy, I would like about 30% amber ...just cuz I want CBN levels as high as possible without losing the heady effect..

In other words...

I want it to melt me into the couch or bed..and still have a nice euphoric balance.

Very nice, amazing how they change so much in a few days. Those are going to make some nice oil for ya! How does it feel to be almost crossing the finish line?
