deleting your cookies and memory and harddrives will only get rid of circumstantial incriminating evidense after they already captured your computer, they are not gona need them after they have harvested 2 dosen girls from your bacyard lol...or can anybody see thees things in my computer just by me beeng on this sight?
You're asking if someone can hack into your computer specifically from this site?

Your'e also right, being careful on your computer isn't going to do much good if they catch you with a bleedin' plant in your house. BUT, I do believe the key to success comes with cautiousness and experience...in that order.

To be completely honest, I don't think they can see your username and then with a click of a button find out all your personal info. Obviously if you do something like brag to the myspace crowd that you're growing weed then yeah, odds are good you'll get caught.

Basically what cookies are, are something that allow you quicker access to a website. For example if you go to a myspace page and they have background music or pics present, your browser will have to download them to view and hear. A cookie as I understand it is something that facilitates that process, so you won't have to spend as much time downloading data needed to view a site.

But, remember the whole RIAA debacle? the RIAA obtained usernames of people illegally downloading songs and then forced their internet providers to turn over their names.

Basically I'd envision it something like this: DEA agent trolling this site comes across your screen name. For whatever reason he decides to take you down. He contacts your internet provider with a warrant (Or these days they don't even have to have one thank you very much George Fucking W. Fucking Bush (I'm a flaming Democrat so you'll probably hear me bashing him often)) Internet service provider turns over your name, and your info. And now said DEA agent is free to have his way with you. (ie, either arrest you outright, or make a deal to reduce your punishment for collaring a few of your boardmates).

Lovely eh?

It IS illegal for the government to spy on us like that...but they do it anyways, NSA phone tapping anyone? Honestly, everythings bad now with Hitler, I mean bush in power, but I suspect things will loosen up in '08. Democrats will be wary of repeating previous administrations mistakes so domestic spying will probably decrease a whole lot.

Also if it makes you feel better, there are people posting on this board who have been growing for decades....I really don't think you're in any danger...I look at it a lot like I would crossing the street...If you don't pay any heed to the walk/don't walk signs and don't look both ways you're going to get popped.

Ya know honestly sometimes I think I do dwell in a George Orwell 1984 mindset, but unfortunately its a fact that your ISP can be forced to turn over your personal info

Before I quit for the night/day whatever here's my advice on not getting busted....all of which I'm quite sure have been previously posted on in various forms and threads:

On the Computer:
1. After logging out, go to control panel in the start menu, double click internet options, if you're using IE 7 like I am then there'll be a button labled delete. It's under the browsing history section. Click that and another menu will come up giving you a menu of all the things you can delete. At the bottom is a button labeld delete all. Hit that, and make sure you check the box where it says 'also delete files and settings created by add-ons. Then click ok...it'll take care of everything for you. If you have a previous version of IE then you might have to delete cookies and browsing history one at a time.
2. Consider reformatting your hard drive once in a while. Your computer stores old addresses, folders, registries and the like, while these arn't necessarily harmful they can slow down the performance of your pc. An added bonus is that once you reformat data can't be recovered....but make sure you back up needed files and whatnot.
3. Get antivirus/spyware eliminating programs and keep them up to date.

Buying Your Gear:
1. Pay Cash. It's as simple as that.
- Various themes on this might include giving a trusted friend money and having him or her buy stuff.
- Consider buying piecemeal...that is one piece of equipment at a time, or spread it out over a large radius....your lamp setup at a hydroponics store on one side of town, and the bulbs at a local home depots or lowes.
2. Never, ever order online.
- The one exception I could see to this is buying seeds....and even then in my view it's a crapshoot.

Growing/Harvesting:
1. Find a secluded area. This is preferable, if you've got land take advantage of it's remoteness
2. (Outdoors) Don't lump your plants all together in one site. From what I hear cannibus plants reflect more light than other plants for anyone who happens to be scanning.
3. (Indoors) Make sure your growroom is well ventilated and odors are well taken care of. There are lots of great articles here about ventilation and odor control.

Finally:
1. Exercise common sense. No one ought to know you're growing but you.

Anyhoo, like I said, it's all been posted before, but I think this is a nice summary.
