Nothing, absolutly nothing, I had to stay up befoure this weekend to finish a job which went into wee hours of the morning, so my internal clock are all fucked up now night is day and reverse I thought I would sleep tonight, but evidently not...I'll stay home today, but I'll stay UP, JUST ME AND MY GUNS!!! just joking, paranoya can be so much fun:mrgreen:

they still have to have a warrant.

if they have a warrant and want to see what you're posting online they already have a ton of other evidence.

again, they would have to have a warrant to obtain your hard drive and check out what you post online.


the biggest online blunders come from people giving out too much personal info. a pic that shows license plate, fingerprints, geo-specific info in pics is more common that some fool spouting off what city/state they're in.

you have to assume that there are cops on this site. how else would they learn the lingo (some of it), prices and other current events in the lives of so many growers?

they can't come in here, take some notes and kick your door unless you tell them way too much.

imo, if you stay discrete there is nothing to worry about online. if you are organizing the trafficking of hundreds of pounds of dope, slaves, endangered species, etc.. then, you should be afraid and look into PGP.

To those of you looking at proxies...heres how:

1. Go to a search engine like google or yahoo. Type in something like "free web proxies" or something like that. Any of the first few hits should be ok. You should see a little bar where you can type in the name of whatever website you want to visit, moonshining in grandmas basement, growing weed, beastiality, whatever. It'll take you to your desired website. However be forewarned, it is slow.

What a proxy does: Basically a proxy hides the fact that you're on a web page. It's like going through a middleman to get to the page you want. As far as the web page is concerned, it's the proxy trying to get the information from the web site, not you.

Will proxies completely mask me?
Short answer, no.

What's the best (ie, not perfect) method of remaining anonymous?
Try a wi-fi connection through your local starbucks....if it does get traced it'd be back to the starbucks, not you.

Hope this helps any of you who wanted to know.

thats why i have wireless internet card and i use someone else internet one of the people that live by me not sure who but anytime i'm on this site i use there internet

yeah using someone elses connection is pretty good but using a proxy or a specail program that hides your identity and internet service is also good

you want to use "elite proxy" servers if you can find them, which you can if you look. anons are ok but elites are better for keeping you totally private.


using someone elses router (starbuck's) also doesn't make you disappear into the vast forest of the Internet. if you want to be hardcore, you better find an app to change your NIC's MAC addy, that info is cached on routers you connect to and unless you manually change it - it's unique to your machine.

imho, this kind of security is overkill for people growing their own weed and it's really just going to make you more paranoid to do all this stuff when in reality they (cops) are just reading what you type. :)

eh....I'm inclined to agree with you but still. Security is an issue.

However, I think cops would want to bust the big time commercial growers. Not some smuck like me with a plant or two in his closet.

they wouldnt want to bust any of us really unless we are going big time on growing, selling and distribution. they are looking to take down drug deallers and major growers who smuggle drugs and acttually have organizaztions and are in the big leages

Yeah, if the government was serious about the war on drugs, there'd be a smoking hole where Colombia used to be....I believe I heard that on the Dennis Miller show once.

It's a reference to cocaine. Colombia is a big producer of cocaine and if the government was serious about drugs they'd bomb the hell out of the place. It's a joke. :mrgreen:
