I've found I like to grow it more than smoke it at this point. I really, really hated purchasing it. It's nice to just walk into my man room, pick a jar, roll one up and relax. No worry about driving with quantity, no worry about being in a place that may get the door kicked in, no worrying about who else maybe at my buddies house. I know what goes into it so nor worries about someone giving me 'water' weed either.
YES! All those reasons. I'm through messing with cops and jail. Don't like being in a place that might get raided by the DEA while I'm there. And I enjoy growing more than smoking when my grows are good. Right now my grow sucks, so I hate it lol. Can't wait to start the next, and smoke all the stuff going now.

I grow for myself, few plants at a time as I need it. Nobody else in my house smokes and I don't have many friends, by my choice.
I smoke daily, right away in the morning if I don't have to drive anywhere. If anything I'd say it helps me focus, I'm kinda high strung.
I grow for myself too, got a little carried away and started growing more than needed, a lot more. Realized I didn't need the stress so downgraded. Much happier with that decision. I'm the only one in my house that smokes, and I only get the opportunity to smoke others out maybe 6 times a year. I stay to myself in real life.
I love growing. Going on five years , I still have 2 of my original strains going.I actually smoke alot less now. My grow got much smaller, and much much better the last few years. Plant count down.

Ya I love to grow to smoke, but I also love to grow because it is relaxing and fucking awesome to be able to watch a plant from a tiny seed into a fruit that you get to enjoy.
It's so nice to be able to smoke your own, makes you appreciate it that much more.
Oh and I guess a horti background makes me love to tinker with soil mixes and shit so that helps lol

Totally get it I've smoked since I was 10- 11 yrs. old and am now 42, I will sometime's go a month or better not smokeing,just work that way sometime's,not intentionaly but too busy or doing shit with my kid's or whatever. But I cannot NOT grow! I do absolutely love it! I love getting the most out of whatever genetic's i'm play'n with, to bring out the strain's absolute potential. If there is anything addictive about cannabis it is definatly growing it!
Hehe, I quit smoking for over 7 months a couple years back. I never even considered stopping growing. I love it too much. I will say, harvesting, trimming, drying, and curing bud while you are not smoking is NOT easy. I did it once though... so I proved it's possible. No need for anyone else to try such craziness.

First indoor grow attempt was back in the mid 70's, but ended up with a roomful of shit cause I didn't know anything. Moved to outside grows, but always just for myself and never had any illusion or desire about getting rich selling. Still grow a few plants outside guerilla style. Some sites I can visit on a schedule, others are a plant and return at season's end. Nothing beats looking for that plant 3 or 4 months later that you could have sworn was "right here", not seeing anything, sighing with resignation that the Gods of the forest and their creatures have claimed yet another one and suddenly seeing that big sticky smelly motherfucker, untouched and waiting for you, realizing you don't have enough bags with you to put all the buds into. Still get a rush after 40 years.
That sounds like a seriously exciting deal. I can only imagine. Like "I swear it was here".
