In the 1973 yun kippur war, if usa did not come to israels rescue with massive resupplies and use of satelites and other eyes in the sky Israel would have been crushed. Is that what you are talking about ?
What I am talking about is we did the same for China and for Russia, but we didn't intervene.

What are you talking about? We still give aid to Russia and China you know.

I'm talking about the 1973 war between Israel, Egypt and Syria. You said that usa has never intervened in behave of israel in a conventional war, that is not true. Don't get me started on aid to Israel,to late, Israel for being a rich country gets more per person than any other country especially if you factor over the last 40 years and when you factor per person, wow that is crazy.Sure we give alot to Iraq and Afghanistan but we are building them a nation

Well, you just can't have it both ways. Aid is not intervention.

Those last two were not aid, they were interventions. We have never intervened for Israel. And we send aid to Russia and China, but have never intervened. We did enter WWar 1 and 2 to save England and France.

You entered WW2 because Japan was on the Axis side and then attacked you.

There was no other reason, so don't lie about it.

I love it when you ask for history. We hate FDR and crowd for holding us out of WW2 when he let that Pearl Harbor attack happen.
My Dad is WW2 and that's what he thinks.

I love it when things unknown become a cat call of LIAR....stupid.

You don't know that we had already been sending ship after ship to run the wolf packs of U-boats? The first shots for us were against Germany? And we were about the Nuke Germany. So, the gloss history books are for the chumps and we the winners wrote those.

You don't know about the mega-ton of aircraft and materials we sent to Russia, again by ship? You don't know about Lend-Lease?

The fact was we didn't care enough to get into the Europe dust up to save England and France, until our President let that sneak attack happen, and like Churchill had to, to protect RADAR, FDR didn't warn the garrisons at Hawaii to hide our code breaking,. (my Dad's version)

So, LIAR,Hawaii, was how we got in WW2, that was certainly not why. It is a timeline, not one event.....gosh!

1941
Japanese Adm. Isoroku Yamamoto begins planning an air attack on Pearl Harbor.
The United States begins “Lend-Lease,” allowing President Roosevelt to send ammunition and other war supplies to England. No longer a neutral nation, the United States now will give England all help “short of war.”

Japan attacks Pearl Harbor. Almost at the same time, Japanese warplanes attack the Philippines and two U.S. islands: Wake and Guam, which are later occupied. Japanese troops invade Malaya and Thailand and seize Shanghai. Later in December Japanese troops invade Burma and Hong Kong. Three days after Pearl Harbor, Germany and Italy declare war on the United States.

February 1, 1942 - First U.S. aircraft carrier offensive of the war as YORKTOWN and ENTERPRISE conduct air raids on Japanese bases in the Gilbert and Marshall Islands.

How and why did the Irish get in, Fire Pants? I'd love to hear this. Oh, wait, I'm suppose to tell you, like you did about the USA. WE we not a neutral nation before the attack at Pearl.

YOU LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is because the Irish are liars, when the say they don't type when the drink. :) We declared for England before Pearl Harbor.

Nope, the US kept a policy of "Splended Isolation" prior to WW2, the Nazis had taken half of Europe and part of Russia long before Pearl Harbour.

We didnt get involved in WW2, save for getting free guns from the Nazis to (potentially) fight Britian with...

Seriously. You realize we are all taught a slightly different versions of WW2 according to our Passport?

You should hear the tale for a young Japanese.

We had no fingers in that pie, our history is uncorrupted.

If anything we should have made the Americans seem more active and downplayed the role of the British, but our history is modelled on fact, not blind patriotism.

The policy of Irish neutrality during World War II was adopted by the Oireachtas (parliament of Ireland) at the instigation of Éamon de Valera, the Taoiseach (head of government) upon the outbreak of hostilities in Europe. It was maintained throughout the conflict, in spite of several German air raids (understood to be by aircraft that missed their intended British targets) and attacks on Ireland's shipping fleet by Allies and Axis alike. De Valera refrained from joining either the Allies or Axis powers. While the possibility of not only a German but also a British invasion were discussed in the Dáil, and either eventuality was prepared for, with the most detailed preparations being done in tandem with the Allies under Plan W. De Valera's ruling party, Fianna Fáil, supported his neutral policy for the duration of the war.
This period is known in Ireland as the Emergency, owing to the wording of the constitutional article employed to suspend normal government of the country.\

Let the USA do the fighting and Micky can do the drinking and lying.

You didn't even tell the truth about Neutrality.

OH, let's not forget that Lie was actual.

Despite the official position of neutrality, there were many unpublicized contraventions of this, such as permitting the use of the Donegal Corridor to allied military aircraft, and extensive cooperation between Allied and Irish intelligence, the exchanges of information, such as detailed weather reports of the Atlantic Ocean; with for example the decision to go ahead with the D-day landings being decided by a weather report from Blacksod Bay, County Mayo.[SUP][1][/SUP]

Supporting a side ideologically and making emergency agreements in the case of being dragged into the war is not a breach of neutrality.

Try harder Doer.

We also know now that Swiss neutrality was a lie for Nazi Gold....stolen Art, looted treasure of the Jews.

I will say, that when we were Neutral in WW2 we were Lying about that.

In fact, Neutrality in War is the only real Lie that matters in War. No one but children believe it.
